  1. They did not. There was a lot of trouble getting a place that would handle it. In the end, someone suggested a charity to which several people made donations in the name of KSP/the HypeTrain.
  2. In relation to the Squad offices in Mexico City, that message was posted toward the end of what would be considered the working day yesterday. They've also been re-building the hype (as if that was necessary), which I doubt they'd do if they had zero intention of at least trying to release today. Of course, I could be wrong. I'm just crazy for contracts!
  3. He's either trolling, or is posting based on Maxmaps' tweet yesterday that there would be no release 'today', which is now, of course, yesterday.
  4. I've been assuming the last change was 16 hours ago because they went home, and haven't yet posted a new build, either for QA or RC, and not that it's a sign the current version is looking stable/good.
  5. My boss DOES play KSP. In fact, when I informed him yesterday that there had been a plan to release the update on Tuesday, but it hadn't worked out, he - seriously - scrunched up his face, grabbed the wall/window we were standing next to, and started muttering 'give it to me, give it to me.' Our only other co-worker scarcely knows how to use a computer.
  6. Anyone know if the #HypeTrain passes by my office? Usually I'd just walk to work, but if I can just sort of wave at my office/boss from the train, I might just do that instead!
  7. I routinely have my laptop hooked up to my 19 inch LCD. It's a several-years-old television, and isn't the greatest, but I have it hooked up most times, and get considerable use of it. So, assuming that my experience is the general experience, anyone here using a laptop without a second screen is crazy!
  8. I've been super-keen on the whole 'economy' update since I first caught wind of it. I quite enjoyed career-mode KSP, but had less fun in sandbox mode. My particular gaming style can be quite goal-focused, but also requires external goal-setting. I enjoy the idea of contract goals, whereas, for whatever reason, my mental infrastructure doesn't do well at self-set goals. In other news, gib me update please!
  9. I had posted about this previous both here on on /r/KMP. Godarklight responded, but the problem has recurred, so I thought I'd post here again. Last night, a friend and I were playing on my server, hosted on the machine I play on. Everything went swimmingly, right up until at one point, the server began duplicating ships. A trip to the tracking station, and /listships, showed a dozen or more copies of existing vessels, spawned from nowhere. It was late, so I went to bed. I started up the server again today and logged in. The duplicate vessels were gone, but I was suddenly not getting proper updates from the server. All of my ships load, but none of his ships. He was offline at the time, though I imagine that makes no difference. If it helps, when I logged on today, I was on a different network, and had a different ip address. I stopped the server before switching to the other network. Help!
  10. So, the other night I set up a server for me and a friend to play on, and we've developed a problem I can't suss out. We landed a few items close together on the Mun. He can see what's been landed in our current session, but as soon as he logs out (or is disconnected), and comes back, his tracking station shows zero flights in progress, even though I see the full slate. We're fully in sync. I've restarted the server several times. The ships all still exist as far as the game is concerned, but he's not getting the info. As well, tonight we had the following happen: He landed a rover on the Mun. I could see him coming down, and I could see where he landed. He, however, was unable to see any other items there (just as in the first issue I described). He was driving towards my location (as I had given him directions; still couldn't see me). I could see the name of his rover in the distance, about 3km away, but even though he drove nearly the entire distance to me, I never saw him move. If I switched control to the lander his rover was attached to, the rover disappeared from my screen altogether. I'm not sure I'm describing this well enough, but, assuming I have, anyone know what's up?
  11. A friend and I decided to give a team-flying, 'mission control' setup a go. I have telemachus running, and he was able to connect, only the data updates to him were uselessly slow. Like, one update per minute. Now, I have terrible internet. I live in Canada's far North, where all the options are satellite, and they're all poor. That said, this was in a realm well beyond what I normally experience. I can play MMOs with lag usually in the 600-700ms range ... not 60 seconds. Is this a known thing with telemachus and high-latency connections, or is something else up here?
