Hello, I'm a new member of this forum... I'd a huge fan of KSP and a fan of planet "Duna" anyway... there's a private non-for-profit organization named "Mars-One" that is planning to send humans to mars by 2025. Mars One has recently contracted Lockheed Martin and SSTL for a conceptual design of lander and comm. satellite mission to mars in 2018 and there's a fundraising campaign... for more info regarding the mission (specially the 2018 mission) follow this link: It's going to be the first private unmanned mission to mars, if this mission succeeds, we'd have first HD video streams from mars!!! and it's going to be proof of technology of water extraction from martian soil, thin film solar panels, and it's going to do experiments afforded by universities worldwide!
