  1. I vote for no change... The parts should be identical in career V sandbox modes. What i really want is more parts for the 3M stuff... Bigger radial separators... Nuclear engines for the 3M parts. and those stack splitter things for the 3M... :edit Also, xenon tanks for 3M... as well as bigger ion engines... But their is one bug/limitation I would really really love to see fixed.

  3. I guess i'm used to unlimited bandwidth, but when you load the youtube video you can choose to reduce the video resolution thus reducing the bandwidth... For quick summary, watch the first 5 mins of the first vide to see how the tests are done... then watch the first bit of the second video up to the first couple of mins of the launch.
  4. Hi guys, Thought I'd drop a little tip for you for those that have trouble seeing and landing in the dark. Step 1) Go into settings, click on graphics and turn PIXEL LIGHT COUNT and SHADOW CASCADES all the way to the right (should say 64). Step 2) put lots of lights on your space craft. Step 3) enjoy the spectacular views....

  11. Here is a tutorial on how to build heavy lift rockets. The first video is how to test the lift capabilities of the mainsail. This gives us some data to start with. This video may be slightly boring, but shows you how to get an idea of the capabilities of any engine including the ones with the 23.5 update. The second video which i will upload shortly (currently being encoded) shows a heavy lift platform lifting a heavy 'explorer' class ship into orbit (at-least mostly into orbit). Will post shortly.

  13. Career mode, seems to be a lil bit on the easy side. Some of the more advanced players are able to complete career mode in one go. So... I was thinking... With the ARM update, you have to scan the asteroids and that gives me a thought. Why should the entire kerbal system be available to view and launch to the other planets right from the beginning? Why not use a 'fog of war' type of masking so that you don't know where planets are and their orbits unless they are within range of a ship with a dedicated sensor array? Same goes for asteroids, if you don't have a sensor satellite in orbit then they don't show up to be scanned in the first place. It seems sensible that you can't see everything right from the beginning. So, you then HAVE to do most of the science on kerban in order to unlock the version 1 sensor array which then might allow you to see the mun provided the mum is not on the opposite side of kerban to the satellite. Then, once you've done most of the science on the mun, you can then unlock sensor version 2 which then lets you see even further... etc etc... Seems like it would be more interesting, especially with asteroids and even more so if the start positions for the planets was also randomized too...

  16. I'm guessing it's invite only... but i make ~two or more youtube videos of KSP a week and i would love to play konkers with asteroids. So, i'd like stand up, wave my arms in the air and shout "pick me! pick me!" I'm itching to start a new series and i'm waiting for 'the next' update...
  17. Just to let people know where i'm up to... I sent up a shipment of three pieces in one go... I've managed to place two but the centripetal forces will not allow me to dock the third. I'm currently moving it (very carefully) to a higher orbit to see if the forces ripping it apart are reduced. Yes i'm moving it... but only to a flatter plane.

  19. Delivering piece number 5, grabbing the debris and rescuing the other pod... not to mention a synchronised parachute landing. Do you still have the craft parts? I hadn't even considered that someone 'could' go from land to water and back to land...
  20. Hi othuyeg, from what i can see of it it looks good. Except it doesn't look stock.
  21. Part four being delivered. and when leaving the station i have a staging error resulting in a piece of debris being left floating away from the knoodle and no way to get back to it. So, i'm praying that the game does not delete it while i'm sending up another piece.
  22. Bonuses are their to promote exciting video's... it means you get rewarded for things going wrong. Bonuses applied for each occurrence, except for the ones that state unique. But some unique bonuses are unique to a player.
  23. So, having another go at my knoodle challenge. This time i'm using the large orange fuel tanks. sofar in this attempt, i have the following bonus's... 5% drama bonus for launch disasters, 5% HALO parachute re-entry 5% drama bonus for rescuing a stranded ship. So, in this video i show the first three pieces going up. Despite editing this is another 1 hour 53min video, sorry.
