Your lander looks a little overkill. I think if you can get that part into orbit you will be fine. But seriously get Kerbal engineer. It will awnser all your questions and more

For the throttle not working problem you need to map to the throttle axis not throttle incrimental

Kerbal engineer is a must and if you want parts check put KSPX and RLA stockalike

Although launch safety has been improved your space program has a poor reputation for rescuing astronauts stranded on various celestial bodies (or lost in space). Your space program also has a problem with causing severe injuries to kerbals during extreme rentry scenarios. Oh yeah and stop flying so low over my office! Your stupid jet planes keep getting on my nerves! Grade: C-

Just check how much an object whieghs when it leaves render and how many parachutes are attached. If there are enough parachutes to slow the object down then it is recovered if not it goes boom. However I think it will be a while (if ever) money is implemented

Hey guys I'm interested in joining but I have a few questions. 1. If I understand correctly you send the save file to the person playing against you so they can make their turn. How is that done? 2. Which mods do you use. Are there specific mods everyone uses. Is it always pure stock or does it vary from match to match?
