Great job! This is quickly becoming my favorite spaceplane mod! Just one gripe, could the texture/lack thereof be improved? Perhaps even a normal map?
-
Ah! Sorry \'bout that! I had that left over from an older install and forgot which RCS thruster was the vanilla one! Glad you like the outhouse, the landing rockets were quite nerve-wracking to design, I lost many test craft when the separation didn\'t go as planned (landing rockets smashing into the outhouse, other craft, etc).

My... God... this thing is AMAZING! Arguably the best first post in forum history!!!
-
Post the source quick! I want this!!! Also, could you make this integrate into MechJeb? i.e. Have one of the parts act as a MechJeb computer?

Oh... My... Sweet... Jeebus... -
I... Must.... HAVE!!! Could you post the .craft along with the .cfg edits? I can\'t live without the awesomeness of this plane!!!

Inspired by Kurtjmac\'s botched space plane in his latest episode, the B.A.T-Mo plane is a high-atmosphere plane with ridiculously large range and maneuverability for its unorthodox design! Takeoff will occur at 130m/s, at which point gently pitch up. The under-mounted fuel tanks will last for approximately 150km and then will be jettisoned. Mods required: NovaPunch, MechJeb (both quite standard mods)

[0.14] Instant Orbit / Debris Generator with bonus Asteroid

Perhaps it has something to do with the mod being a month old... /request lock -
I have a thread at http://kerbalspaceprogram.com/forum/index.php?topic=12353.msg193738#msg193738 detailing my F-56 Spearhead, very maneuverable and easy to fly!

The F-56 Spearhead (Flies like a dream)
xeranes replied to xeranes's topic in KSP1 The Spacecraft Exchange
Why thank you! -
After the somewhat jarring difficulty spike in spaceplane design that came with .15 I have finally found a design that I can truly call easy to fly! The F-56 Spearhead is easy to control, you can fly with or without a joystick, though precision mode is recommended. With a bit of elevator trim you can basically leave her alone and she will glide until she runs out of fuel approximately 40 minutes later. When out of fuel, the F-56 can glide for an extremely long time and land very softly with minimal pilot correction. The F-56 is also capable of ditching in water, though the wings do not take kindly to the gesture... Roll all you want, the wings will not snap off! DO A BARREL ROLL! ??? At a recent Kerbal aerobatics competition, the F-56 successfully pulled off a low altitude tailslide and double inside loop! Range: Factory claim: 400km Practical: 330km If launched from a rocket: 2.9 x 1029km (no substantial evidence) *Known Issues* - on the runway try not to touch the roll keys, they cause the plane to swerve! - Wing gear don\'t quite touch the ground, minor instability at low speeds! Take off with full thrust to minimize swaying.

[PLUGIN, PART, 0.17] Bigtrak KSP Edition v.30 Liltrak
xeranes replied to chickenplucker's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
have you updated the download? It still says plugin v 1.21... -
Works great! Except for one bit... when pausing and resuming my KSP crashes... EDIT: request for next feature: multiple satellites at once!

Hey, I am getting some bizarre errors when using BACE... nullref exceptions out the wazoo and a mysterious 6km space kraken that strikes with increasing severity every 6km on the dot! This causes my camera to position itself below the rocket, farther and farther with each 6km increment. It also causes massive G-force spikes and makes handling impossible; my craft handles like it is on the end of a very long stick!!! The odd thing is that it increases in severity exactly every 6km up... odd! The craft only uses MechJeb, some multi-joint solar panels (stable), c7 fuel tanks, and BACE modules... Attached are some photos of the glitch... I can post a video if you would like!

Well... I\'m quite proud of myself! I launched a heavy-payload rocket into orbit and released a satellite... nothing special... but then I decided to go back home. Not home as in Kerbin, I mean the space center! I have never been able to land back at the center, so I was just trying to get as close as I could with a re-purposed lander and a mech-jeb autopilot. Amazingly, I landed right on the road from the VAB to the launch tower!!! I still had some fuel left, so I did what any good Kerbal would do: smashed it into the top of the VAB!
