will the 0.25 update include cargo bay parts? & fairings?
-
i do looked at that list. are you expect me to rememeber all of those? of course, i know that weapons will not make a show in the game & things like that, but there's also many other little things...
-
should i post it in the suggestions?
-
i want graphs for the economy
JtPB replied to agent 902's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
seems to be legit. i approve! -
seiously, ive seen many people saying 'theres mod for that' on almost every suggestion post! think! if the person who opened that post, this is a sign that he want it to be in stock. he may knew about the mod before, but he dont want to use it, he want to be directly in vanilla!
-
yep, i really have been waiting to a contract to include the word 'astroid' in it...

the HUD of the EVA is not relevant at all!
JtPB replied to JtPB's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
at least the velocity. i dont want to risk when moving kerbals at minimum dV i can, you know that kerbals can survive relatively high collision speeds... -
at EVA, i'll be interested in his velocity of the kerbal & his direction of movement(when i do rendezvous with an orbiting vessel). i dont really need the elevation when on the ground, and of course i dont need to know the atmospheric pressure(in fact, i almost dont needs this bar at all. who the heck is looking at that??) so what i suggest is that in EVA mode, the Navball should be displayed. why Squad thought that will be a good thing to hide it while EVAing?

Another Game Mode Recommendation
JtPB replied to Sasuga's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
actually the point in this game is that you are the general manager, the CEO of the whole space agency. you're the one who decide what will be the next mission to execute. not just the engineer & the pilot. although that sounds neat to me, this mode isnt very kerbal behavior, is it? -
can i do it without thrusters(RCS or main)? just flywheels...
-
yep, i know, but as for the current explanations our astronomers have, there's a reasonable one? for example, for the water on laythe despite that it so far from kerbol is probably the resonance of jool's moons' orbits. thats why europa, the moon of jupiter, might has an entire water ocean under its ice cover... they roughly have the same mass, ok? not exactly the same...
-
Tylo is at the same size of Kerbin, and therefore it means it has to have the same mass, that means it has to have an atmosphere. but he doesnt have. why?
-
ok, knows them both. so whats the more efficient way? well you can use the hill as a boost to the orbit in minmus, doesnt it? and you all didnt answer what's the formula for the optimal waiting orbit. is it the lowest orbit possible? it's seems wrong because as close you are to the body you have more horizontal speed to kill & gain back...
-
1. yep there are many orbits you could performe good landing from them, but i simply meant the one which reqiure the least dV for descending & ascending to, of course. 2. and how exactly I do the calculate the spot from these parameters? you didnt answer that. and for FKO or from the moons? yep, i mean apollo style. constant altitude is when i keep the thrust vector on the retrograde marker until touchdown?
-
1. How do I calculate the optimal orbit for an orbiter to wait for a lander around a moon or planet? 2. How do I determine the exact reentry spot where atmosphere is peresent? are there tutorials for those problems(all are without mods)?

circumnavigate with the biggest flappy plane
JtPB replied to JtPB's topic in KSP1 Challenges & Mission ideas
yep Because ion engine is weak enough to prevent you from really fast speed, and it has very high Isp so you can abuse it how much you want without worrying about the fuel -
Circumnavigate kerbin(or any planet with an atmosphere) with the biggest plane that using the flapping wings feature. Rules: 1. Your orbit must be all of it or partially in the atmosphere all the time. 2. No engines except ion power 3. No mods, except FAR(seperated category) 4. More TBA if exploits will be detected

the problem is, that with the current aerodynamics in KSP even the packed wing you described produces lift, unless you use Ferram. my idea is a wing that you can retract & extend & by that adjusting the lift you want
-
and i dont mean to the wings of the F-14 or Mig-23 planes, but a set of wings which will fold completly into small pack which will not prduce any lift & much less drag while moving through the atmosphere. it will be useful if you want to launch a top-atmosphere ion glider or a glider probe to another planet with atmosphere, so those wings will not disturb the launch. it will also be useful for making paragliders if you want to choose your landing site more precisly on atmosphere present planets.
-
I would like to add an atmosphere viewing so it'll be easier to plan re-entries. +viewing the hight of a trajectory through the atmosphere, at any point(not just the apogee) so it will also be easier to predict the landing site.

i thought to myself, that if we will build the stator of the propeller with rover wheels that will roll the rotor, or the rotor with plates & let thruster's exhaust blow on them, than we will have a fully controlable propeller for helis & WW2 planes at KSP. well on the paper it is seems possible, but is it really will be able to implement? (and by full control i mean that even the engine power is controlable! that means that realesing the rotor without an option to control its power afterwards is not an answer!)
