  1. Its all good guys, dont worry bout it I have been playing recently, yes, I just havent had the need to take screenshots for a long time Either way, Ill probably come up with some new parts over the next few weeks. KSP is getting far too awesome and interesting to not get into the modding side of it so early ;D
  2. Haha so many comments about the pictures, should have seen that coming... Glad some people like it at least (that last shot with the motion blur on the part moving away... ) And I have actually used the F1 screenshot key in the past as well... Just completely forgot about it after not using it for so many releases. Oh well! Cheers for reminding me.
  3. Was getting to it! Just wanted the first post to be a list only, then further posts to be actual parts. Ill probably add proper part pictures to the first post at some stage too though. But theres a bunch up there ^^ now
  4. Hey guys, I finally got around to messing around with some KSP modding, and after about an hours messing around \'Delta Edge Industries\' has prototyped its first custom mod part - A mini SRB (The Delta-MiniSRB MkI) Its pretty basic (the best idea for a first test part), but it works and I now know the workflow for developing KSP custom parts. Thought Id post some pictures here from the maiden flight of this first part, and get the Delta Edge Industries thread going so I can post future parts here as I work on them. Anyway, the Delta-MiniSRB MkI: Description: \'The Delta-mini-SRB would be best suited for departures from celestial bodies with little gravity or deep-space manoeuvres. Not recommended for useage in heavy-lift rocket designs. The Delta-Mini Solid Fuel Booster is the first rocket part ever assembled by Delta_Edge industries and is for the most part untested, success of any degree cannot be guaranteed. Doesn’t cost much though!\' Base stats (currently being tweaked): cost - 160 mass - 0.8 thrust - 50 fuelConsumption - 1.6 internalFuel - 40 Pictures: This part is still being tweaked, so a lot of those stats will change as I adapt it to how I imagined/planned initially. Also Ill probubly update soon with better pictures. A couple of those were taken before it had a decent texture, also they were clearly taken as literal \'screenshots\', since I didnt think to start a screen capture before taking off. I actually think pictures like this look good though, adds a certain charm or detail to the images. Either way, thats all for now. More parts soon, along with download links once parts are tested and working how I want. Feedback welcome!

  6. Bah, I love this thread! So... perfect... And since it is, of course, Kerbal: Love the simplicity of these, it really works, great angle. This ones just an instant classic, pretty much sums up all of KSP in one image. Great work 8) Something I can add, you might wonder what happens to all those Kerbals who die in horrific deaths? Heres a Kerbal I was working on who (accidentally) turned out to be a petrified-ghost kerbal for a short amount of time... For anyone whos into 3D work, you\'ll probably recognise thats a kerbal with only an AO map applied
  7. Its definitely ambitious, and I also worry about how much more complex this one is in terms of both the landing and operating on the surface, but it seems necessary. It could land fine of course, and then have some kind of other issue or damage from the landing. If you want to have a look moreso at the statistical side of it, NASA has had a lot of success in the past couple of years with Mars related missions. I found this the other day which illustrates every Mars mission and its resulting success/failure: It will definitely be and exciting and nervous time come next August..... *Edit* I was also going to note that in the case of a failure, it wouldnt be as expensive or time consuming to build another MSL rover, since the design for it is already down, theyd just have to modify/fix whatever issue arose, and then rebuild a new one. I dont know if this would actually happen, it would be devastating for this mission to fail, but I would hope theyd try again asap. Either way, Curiosity is so important atm it really needs to succeed.
  8. Im assuming a bunch of you guys are game designers or hobbyist artists/programmers. Anyone else getting into Ludum Dare 22 this weekend? http://www.ludumdare.com/compo/ Ill be trying to squeeze in some hours between a family Christmas event, working and maybe even sleeping?? Who else is in??
  9. Its like... a screenshot from the near future of KSP 8) Nice one!! Also Im working on some rather special KSP art at the moment (have been for a couple of weeks) Will probably be a while before I can post tho... exams going on... and then all that christmas/newyears stuff will probably get in the way too *sigh*
  10. Awesome, I always like these forum rank thingos, fun stuff There should be higher levels tho, like maybe every 500 up to 5,000 should be different, just for some variety. I know 5000 seems to be a lot, but I see a few members who are already reaching 500-1000, and in a year or two there will be a lot of posts by more active members. Ive seen on other forums some people surpass 10,000 in a couple of years (maybe they need to get out more), and I know its all somewhat trivial.... ....but still!
  11. Great work RCS is beyond awesome, and the orbital map is very handy. Cant wait to see what comes with 0.12 8)
  12. Now that, is just epic. One of the best fanarts to date There just needs to be some sexy female kerbals reaching out to Jeb over the railing
  13. Post sack boy world hey. Loving it!
  14. Hehe, Ive been wanting to do this for a while now, Ill give it a go later tonight and post results.
  15. Even so, they seem way too powerful for the way the game is now. Im loving seeing all these custom parts being made by people, but it takes away from the game when your able to slap super powerful and efficient rockets onto anything.
  16. I feel that way as well, this games going to get popular fast. Ive been playing it for 3 days straight. But seriously, WHY hasnt this game been made before now?? I dont get it! Little adorable green men being destroyed in hilarious rockets. What could be better?? Either way, its shaping up to be great. I was with minecraft from about a year into its alpha, good to be with KSP right from day 5, this should be an interesting journey
