  1. I will most likely be using hooligan labs plugin, works ok so far ( in early testing )
  2. Yes hydrogen is very unstable, and instability is an essentially kerbal thing... The first balloon was hot air and was followed within months by a hydrogen balloon ( also coal gas was used as it was cheaper and easy to get )... Many balloons duirng this era returned to earth as incandescent balls of flame, but this did not deter the early intrepid balloonists, and I cant imagine Jeb being too upset by this either I do like the whaleoil expenditure on hot air balloons, and I will work on it... maybe have both types developing together with a higher explosion chance for hydrogen gas
  3. I will see if i can sneak a few craft files into the next release
  4. I had not based it on any historical vessel, any resemblance is purely by chance
  5. I have been aiming for hydrogen as the lifting gas, it seems to be a far more kerbal way to acheive flight, and was available to victorian period engineers
  6. Good points, however I dont want to make it useless just balanced, i will probably combine a few nerfs to its component parts and see what happens - - - Updated - - - In other news, I was bored and started on the modular airship hull....
  7. ok, while I have been reducing poly count on my models and play testing, I have found that it is too easy to reach orbit with my steam rocket, anyone have any thoughts on this? I was thinking of increasing weight, maybe dropping isp, or using more fuel to generate steam etc... Also maybe a rework of the steam system to replace electricity, steam RCS, steam gyro's. generate steam by solar power (slowly)... Maybe fuel and nitrous oxide for burning in lamps? anyway, back on topic, please drop some thoughts on the OP steam rocket
  8. Its certainly a very kerbal-esque way to land on the mun
  9. new version again, minor fixes like the boiler and generator, some model streamlining and bug fixes etc version 0.15a
  10. Very nice parts my good sir! I would like to see more...
  11. I am adding the science instruments to the capsule internals and hopefully make them interactive ---edit--- well the parts are added to IVA view but I have yet to get them to show measurements/perform experiments etc....
  12. A next one!!!???!!! Your kerbal tailoring skills are remarkable sir, I salute you
  13. Thats kind of what i was aiming for, definately industrial steam age as the parts go up the tech tree.
  14. There will be larger parts coming for all the resources, I should have the boiler and generator fixed for the next release
  15. There is suspension in all the legs, however there is not much, and i am still working on the animation for the suspension, there is not alot of material on how to do it so I am doing alot of reading and experimentation
  16. I do the animations in unity so there should be nothing extra from the modeling software
  17. I actually went over the tank too, I will have a look at them in unity too, in case there is some useless animation included in the file...
  18. I dont know what is causing that yet, I went through the model yesterday without anything obvious showing up, I will keep at it:wink:
  19. I have one nearly done, it just hasnt made the cut for a release yet - - - Updated - - - I will see what can be done
  20. Thankyou for the morale boost! I dont know if, but i suspect that the spaceport large download fault is just windows getting bored and loosing interest in the download
  21. Not yet they havn't, I could use it as data storage for research, to save transmitting the data....
