  1. Yup, we tried that as well and came to the same conclusion, that it's taking the name from the driver. I've since tried vJoy and Universal Joystick Remapper with some success but now even more problems: - KSP now sees both the original joystick and the vJoy joystick so can't decide which one to use for the assignment. Luckily if you push hard enough, the vJoy instance wins...lame but works - UJR can only support a single POV hat, the X-55 has something like 6. I've tried using multiple vJoy virtual joysticks but Windows ends up also listing those two as the same joystick, so back to the same problem - I'm working with the vJoy forum to see if we can come up with any solutions And finally, COME ONE SQUAD!! Help us out here!!!!
  2. No solution here yet? This is an awesome joystick (just got it) and not being able to use it with KSP is a pretty big bug that these guys need to fix.
  3. So the space shuttle THC was just on/off discretes in each direction. Seems pretty easy to do electronically but needs a little building mechanically. Looks like someone has done this before: http://sergiocurci.blogspot.com/ I like how he used a salvaged keyboard controller. You wouldn't even have to remap the keys!
  4. Has anyone located a fresh copy of 1.0.2? This was the most stable version so far but I neglected to save a fresh copy when I first downloaded it (I assumed a stable version of KSP didn't exist yet).
  5. Thanks, done. They hadn't posted it yet (under review).
  6. So, after about 7 years, I've finally built another computer, and we're having a lot of success this time! I wanted to build a small, KSP (and FSX) dedicated computer within a budget of less than $1000 (less than $500 with donated older parts). Here's the build: http://pcpartpicker.com/user/texasflyboy/saved/dBJXsY I've overclocked the CPU to 4 GHz with everything else running stock. I have a station with about 450 parts and most of the graphics settings maxed out and the system seems to be able to run this well, allowing me to smoothly maneuver around the station. I'm pretty impressed so far with this little thing. By the way, the Antec ISK600 is a pretty awesome little case. The computer is called Cortana. Let me know if anyone needs any more info.
  7. After designing and flying my first successful manned spacecraft after some highly iterative test flights, requiring spaceflight to identify design issues, I have a few tweaks I'd like to suggest. - With the very dark nature of space, the lights have become very necessary and important. With that in mind, every ship will have lights. I would like to be able to stow the lights during launch. The old school incandescent lights could use a nice update to LED technology, and be flat panel, stow-able lights. - EVA always use tethers. It would be nice to default to a tether that could be released as necessary. - In the VAB it would be very useful to have the option to perform functional checks such as being able to deploy solar arrays or antennas (especially since you can't see the deployed array's/antenna's configuration unless you're in space) and other movable parts, to check for clearance etc. to other structure/parts. - It would also be VERY useful to be able to turn off the VAB lights for a functional check of the above mentioned vehicle lights. - I may not have found this feature yet but deploy-able "hinges" would be a useful feature to basically be able to fold any structure/part for launch. That's it for now. Very fun game/simulation! Jon
