  1. Very helpful mod, except for one thing... I'd really like it to filter out experiments which you already have a copy of in your command pod, so you can set it to "not maxed" and not have experiments that you can't actually usefully do again till your next trip keep alerting you.
  2. Thank you, Claw. This is exactly what I was looking for.
  3. I've looked and cannot seem to find a precise mathematical model for how lifting surfaces currently work in KSP. There're a lot of qualitative descriptions regarding what's wrong with the model, but what IS it exactly? I'm trying to work back from specific feasibilty goals to the actual attributes of modded parts I'm making, and this gap is becoming problematic. It would also be nice to be able to figure out the expected glide behavior of my spaceplanes when out of fuel without actually flying them. Can anyone enlighten me on this? (Preferably including the specific meaning of the numbers in the part cfg files)
  4. I'd like to do a mission to submit for this, but I'm unclear on some of the subtleties of what's allowed. I obviously haven't read the whole thread, considering how long it is, so sorry if I'm asking things that have been answered somewhere. Here are my questions: Can I use mechjeb? Are only some parts of it allowed? In particular, smart a.s.s., ILS, the utilities window checkboxes(manage air intakes, prevent jet flameout), and the maneuver planner would be annoying to do without. What about part clipping? (I mean the kind the game lets you do without checking the 'allow part clipping' debug option) Air hogging? TAC fuel balancer? (note that this allows you to dump fuel, which you can't do in full stock and can increase your delta-v if you have an imbalance of liquidfuel and oxidizer) Docking info displays?
  5. I reloaded at one point because my kerbals got oddly placed in their seats. The craft is completely stock other than mechjeb. Note that I never used the autoland feature of mechjeb, just the landing guidance, ILS, and smart a.s.s. (mostly cause I wanted to avoid that debris) I assume since it wasn't mentioned, mechjeb's fair game... I can do it without it just fine though too. edit: incidentally, I didn't design this craft. aside from some minor modifications, it was designed by stochasty (I have one that's redesigned from the ground up that I use more often, but this one carries 2 kerbals, so I used it for the challenge)
