  1. Probably the greatest thing I've ever seen in KSP, apart from that one manic who bolted wings to an asteroid and landed it.... I just love the flexibility of this design and the attention to detail! Matzilla
  2. I love this thread and the concept of big beautiful motherships! This is my contribution, my Jool-5 Explorer, the IES - Namazu! Packing close to 10000 m/s of Delta V, two satelittes, two Duna Grade Landers (with independant fuel resevoires for multiple landings) and comfortable living space for 8 Kerbals, this is the pride and joy of my minimal mod instal. Still working of an SSTO to ferry the crew up in two batches, and to preforme Laythe Exploration, but its tough after being so used to B9/Far and coming back to Stock Aero and part. C&C always appreciated, Matzilla - Ive got a couple other goodies Ive been looking to post, so you might see more of me in the SSTO showcase
  3. Hi Roverdude, I'm sorry in advance if this has been asked before, but I'm interested in creating an add-on for Karbonite that allows the bundled ORS drills and other reasonable parts to mine/extract water. This would be to integrate with TAC Life support, as once you have water its relatively easy to maintain a properly sustainable base. I have zero coding experience but I'm willing to give it a crack, but I need a hand to get started. The key points for proper integration would be how to add the resource extraction, and how to create a resource map.
  4. As a long time lurker and occasinal poster, I figured it was time I contributed to the KSP community. Here is the Drive Core and Mulipod I'm currently using in sandbox to rescue two stranded Kerbonauts on Duna. Both ships are part heavy and mod heavy, the mods used should be NFPP, B9 (with fixes), KW, KAS, Kethane, D-Magic, PandaJaegers's Rover Parts, Klockheed Martian's Smart Parts, Stock-a-like-for-Useful-Aesthetics and some others that I do not believe are on the ships. Oh, and KER and FAR. The Drive Core has about 9000dV and weighs about 152tons, the four "fuel pods" are detachable when empty. 9 toggles the Panels and 0 toggles the Fuel flow blockers so that you can eject two pods faster, saving dV. The Multipod is attached to a launch Vehicle already, and on its own contains 1600dV and enough parachutes to land on any atmospheric planet. The airbrakes on the pod can also be a big help to shed velocity before hitting the chutes, preventing spontaneous disassembly (or jebassembly ) I recommend putting the airbrakes and panels on custom keys, as I forgot to do so myself. Here are some pictures of the two ships together. Before Leaving Minus Two Pods Burning for Duna, minus last two pods Finally a good picture of just the Multipod Craft Files: https://drive.google.com/folderview?id=0By0Gl2q42eUycmNpR0U1SnRkT1E&usp=sharing C&C is welcome, and more pictures with progress reports will follow.
  5. Here's my contribution: Very Mod heavy, uses at least KER, B9, RLA, NFPP, KW, and KAS
  6. Thank you for that alternate cfg, I can't wait to get station building with these.
  7. Not much of a programmer here, but wouldn't it be fairly simple to have these parts have a single docking node and there own class (ex: 4) so that they could dock with each other universally. They wouldn't dock with the stock parts but they look so cool I know that I won't bother using the stock ports if these can freely dock/undock with each other universally. Just a thought.
