  1. Seriously, is there any reason to get Sims 4 over Sims 3? From all I know the only big new features are a better editor and supposedly better emotions(I haven't really paid much attention to the Sims 4 though, so I could be wrong). Considering how many features are missing this looks more like a prequel to Sims 3 than a sequel.
  2. I dont know about how the LAS of Dream Chaser works, but I assume it is based on that of the HL-20(the entire Dream Chaser design was based on the HL-20), which means that it also likely has parachutes for this kind of situation.
  3. Yes, driving is more difficult than piloting. Unlike piloting, where there is just mostly air around you, you need to pay attention to a lot more things and a lot more rules. You need to know when someone is crossing the road, you need to pay attention to the speed limit, traffic lights, etc. And by the way, google is making one. Just google "google car".
  4. IIRC the spaceport is mainly for things like Virgin Galactic, not just Skylon. The spaceport could probably also be fitted for Skylon(if Skylon actually ever gets built).
  5. I have multiple installs of ksp, one stock, one modded without RSS and RO and one modded with RSS and RO. I really like the current folder structure and if it would be changed to the way you want it, all of my saves would be in all of my installs, which would be rather annoying.
  6. It's possible to get to serious speeds even at low altitudes with FAR. I've once hit Mach 3 below 5 kilometers. However you shouldn't try to steer when doing it. Also, I can't seem to find a mod called B7. Did you mean B9?
  7. Actually the CST-100 is designed to also be compatible with the Delta IV and Falcon 9, not just the Atlas V. I personally would like to see Dream Chaser and Dragon V2 getting into the next round. There is just nothing that makes CST-100 special, unlike the other two capsules.
  8. Where does that mention a steeper trajectory? For me it looks like the only difference is the time at which the first stage gets decoupled.
  9. There have been over 529 people in orbit and only 18 have died while on the way up, in orbit, or on the way back down. Of these 18, 14 have died aboard a space shuttle. The probability that you will die if you take a vehicle other than the space shuttle are pretty low.
  10. So basically Orbiter for iOS? I like this. IIRC Space Agency is 2D and has totally unrealistic orbital mechanics.
  11. Subforums for any mod that are decencies to other mods would be rather annoying IMO. I don't really want to scroll through a list of 30+ subforums every time I want to see the add-on releases forum. Besides, this would make people miss a lot of great mods simply because they don't want to check out every single subforum.
  12. 1. Earlier tests also did turnaround burns - this one just splashed down closer to the coast. However, SpaceX would also have been able to do that on earlier flights if they wanted. 2. The next attempt will also be on water. If everything works as expected, the next two attempts after that will try to land on a barge. Only if these will also work as expected they will move on to land.
  13. If the reactor fails, the colony dies(unless it has a redundant one). However the reason will not be radiation, but the lack of power. Same goes for a lot of other parts that can break, such as the mining tools(assuming it's using ISRU), the oxygen generator, the hull, etc. Fact is that there is a risk that some part of the colony fails and the whole colony dies, no matter how careful you are. And there is no type of power supply that can't fail.
  14. Not only to protect the structure from the acoustical energy, but also to protect the engine itself. Many rocket engines are so loud that they would be damaged if the sound they produce bounced back up from the concrete.
  15. I keep them on my C:\ partition, because I don't really have a reason not to. 90% of my games are on steam or origin anyway, so most of my data is in the cloud either way. I could easily transfer the rest per USB stick if I should decide to wipe my hard drive for some reason.
  16. They are using ANY current launch except for GTO launches for recovery testing.
  17. The falcon heavy central core will have flow faster and further than a falcon 9 first stage. IIRC Elon Musk stated that the payload to GTO would be 21 one tones when flown completely expendable, 14 tones with the boosters recovered and the central core expended and 7 tons with all 3 cores recovered.
  18. Schau dir mal den Mod "Infernal Robotics" an. Der hat was du möchtest.
  19. I'm not sure if it was already posted, but here is a thread where some old versions can be downloaded: http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/24858-Old-versions-of-KSP-(some-versions-still-wanted!)
  20. My RSS install is peaking at about 7GB. I would add more mods, but I only have 8GB RAM. Luckily another 8GB are on the way so I can add even more mods Monday or Tuesday.
  21. Looks good, but why isn't it round? In every picture I've found it looks round to me. Also the eight R-4D engines are missing.
  22. I usually play games or watch Anime. I'm myself currently waiting for a joystick and more RAM since Tuesday.
  23. Actually patched conics was used by NASA during the Apollo program so I consider it close enough.
