I have been messing with a few different designs but it seems that making 2 layers of wings prevents the plane from doing gymnastics. I have made stable planes that only have one wing before but I rarely know why the things I make in this game work, just that they do. And dammit I can't get anything near zarakon's time. Only thing that got close was a plane that I accidently* smashed into the KSC runway at some 300m/s. *may or may not be a lie

Dammit zarakon! I had you beat by one second! Then you go and do this! I'll have to try again... maybe with a new design though. If I make no mistakes maybe I can shave 10-20 seconds with my current plane, but I don't think I'm good enough for that... especially without mechjeb. Btw, how do you fly planes with one wing? If I don't make mine bi-plane style then I can't control it.

Made it in 3:48 It is quite a bit harder to fly without MechJeb And i couldnt find a nice looking spot to put that avionics package =(
