This is awesome thanks, I really look forward to FAR support -
[PLUGIN, PARTS 0.17] Zoxygene (Life Support) mod v0.7.1 (12.09.27)
s20dan replied to l00's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
So does this work with 0.16? I get a weird bug when any ship I build with ZO2 components tries to launch, focus is swapped from the ship to Kerbin/Earth (Whatever its called) and I cannot swap focus back to the ship. +100 -
[PLUGIN, PARTS 0.17] Zoxygene (Life Support) mod v0.7.1 (12.09.27)
s20dan replied to l00's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
That would be cool -
OH well it\'s a shame, but I\'m sure Squad will make it up with some nifty atmospheric effects. But, if the problem was related to atmospheric flight, why not just stop timewarp in an atmosphere? X2 was useful on and around the Mun, other than that I only really used it occasionally with aircraft.

I\'d love a SimEarth2 but I would hate for Maxis to make it, they would only ruin it. They have ruined quite a few franchises (EA). Look at what happened to SimCity and Spore. Back in the day, EA made published lots of good games (Wasteland and Dungeon Keeper to name but two) now they only make/publish drivvel. I have it running perfectly well on Windows7, there\'s a lot of cool mods for SimCity 4 too which are a lot of fun, but you will generaly need the expansion pack. I think simcity 4 + Rush-hour expansion is my favorite SimCity, if only because of the slightly complex transportation system which is fun for a while. Anyway its a long while since I set it up so I\'m unsure of all the fiddling involved to get it running well, but it looks like I had added these to my .exe file : -w -intro:off -r1024x768x16 -CustomResolution:enabled -CPUCount:1 So you might start there with CPUCount:1 ..All this talk of SimEarth.. makes me want to fire up DosBox

[PLUGIN, PARTS 0.17] Zoxygene (Life Support) mod v0.7.1 (12.09.27)
s20dan replied to l00's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Just modify the capacity of each tank and dont take the solar panels from this mod with you to the mun. And there you have limited time on the moon, but enough to perform your mission. The problem as I see it with not taking the solar panels, is that the ZO2 tanks drain together, so you\'re unable to save some small tanks full for that return trip home. I look forward to the next update. This is quite a fun little mod -

I have the exact same problem. Resetting my IP and clearing cookies, or even waiting till the next day did not fix it. Could someone please mirror this? I\'d really like to give it a try. -
Down Under Aerospace & Party Supplies [v0.5] [REMASTERED]
s20dan replied to Slew's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
I\'ve seen it happen with quite a few different ships. I think its pretty general and not necesarilly caused by the parts. -
Personally I don\'t recall ever downloading pirated material from there, the majority of folks would use torrents. IIRC the majority of stuff I ever got from there were game patches and/or mods so from my perspective this site is not invloved in any nefarious activities. Rapidshare otoh Remember in society you are always given enough rope to hang yourself with, but you don\'t have to... Its called free-will. (Meaning that not everyone will use the site in the same way) I\'ve heard of this, you guys do a lot of things right Yep you got it in one.

I tend to use the larger black wing-tank for every shuttle variation I have, its a nice design and is especially useful with the black control surface that can be attached on the front. So perhaps a longer variant of that one, or even a 1m version for larger shuttles would be nice? How about a different attachment for the nose? Instead of ASAS it could be something else, maybe a small amount of RCS fuel, I only mention that as sometimes you want to use a different ASAS with a setup which means you\'d have to sacrifice the nice looking shuttle nose section. Cheers.

Thats rather vague and their solution feels like this: Thats someone cracking a nut with a sledgehammer... it works but nobody gets to eat the nut at the end. I see yet another example of overkill.
-
Awesome. I can\'t help but use excessive amounts of these so thats a definitive plus there
-
erm what? Is that M.Bison? ;D

Well we\'ll bow to your better judgement but IMO it does seem twice as big as it should be. For me the thing that makes it look absolutely massive are the windows and cockpit section, there are loads of windows there and judging from the size and amount of windows it gives the impression that the cockpit is about twice as large as a three man capsule, which is bloody massive But at the end of the day, I\'m only looking at pictures, whereas you can see the model in the flesh and make the better judgement. But other than that, this thing rocks. 8)

[0.20.2] Gaby's Quick And Dirty Miscellania: v1.3
s20dan replied to gabyalufix's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
That fuel dump valve sounds like a pretty neat idea Cheers. -
Why? The rule against necroing threads that some people seem to feverently believe in is the most retarded internet rule I know of. It makes NO SENSE! If people feel so strongly they should stop using forums and use IRC, there will be no necromancy there. Forums are a source of information and by locking threads and preventing people from participating you lock out a lot of that information. Can someone please enlighten me as to why on Earth this \'rule\' exists? I\'m nearly 30 and I still don\'t understand it It seems totally contradictory to the idea of internet forums.
-
Its easy to work around, all thats required is that you create one arm and attach one \'whatever\' on the end, then remove the arm and place again with symmetry, you can usually use that to get around any symmetry bug.

You might not think much of this beast Its mission \'Get as much mass as you can to the moon!' Picked the landing spot: Sorting out excessive horizontal velocity before setting down: Landed, minus one landing leg Jeb can now get started on that moonbase he always wanted Btw, this time around there was no skidding, I toggled RCS and ASAS off as soon as I landed and it seemed to stop the perpetual sliding.... But it could also be related to how bloody large this thing is.
-
Finally we have touchdown! On approach for landing: An earlier botched attempt before the landing legs were added: Is it just me or is the surface ridiculously slippery? I was only able to come to a rest when the legs hit the slight incline of another hill.

That sounds like good advice I\'ve been meaning to check the SDK out for some time now, I suppose I just never found the time and have been pretty satisfied with the bang-up job everyone has done so far

I think the point is that it can be a bit of a pain to track down a part when its name does not correlate with its folder in any way, luckily most mods have the name of the modmaker as a prefix for the folder, which you can find from the part in-game. But as we know not all mods do this and even then it can be annoying to find the part when you have a lot of parts from one mod, and again the names do not correlate. This is of course with the goal of modifying a part out of the game, folders obviously make no difference to regular in-game behaviour...

AFAIK all you have to do is change the image from 24bit to 32bit, ms paint will do this much quicker than adobe unless you batch process it. For mspaint its as easy as loading the image in paint then saving it, done. +1 for standardised system/part folder names.

Cheers ;D
