Anyone have any screenshots of the "Toyota Corolla" Mun lander back from when the Mk 1 command module was still around? Basically anything with a Mk 1 module, a fueltank, same era landing engine and some legs? I was hoping to come here to check around the first few pages, but it seems like there was a wipe some time ago. :/ -

Once its an old hat you'll have to modify missions to have rendezvous then move to other planets or something. -
The LM parts are a little finneky though, be careful! See my signature.

Wow Nutt those pieces are huge! Or at least they look large from this perspective, that RCS thruster doesn't look all that small on closer inspection. -

Since 0.17 is rumored to break persistence files, I've halted all further missions until it comes out. Until then, I've been planning some missions to launch when 0.17 comes out. Its a rather large picture, and the ones with the red dots next to them have yet to be designed. [spoiler=] This is what I do during bio, calc and chem. -

Glad to have been inspiration for once! If your engines gimbal, then you could put them on very low power and use that to maneuver. It makes it more difficult but the end product is more rewarding. I didn't think to add RCS on my actual rocket until the 3rd or 4th launch, I only used what I had on the module I was putting up. Also, I wish I had seen your memorial plaques when I made my memorial video. Those are nice. -

Good sir, that is an awesome few missions you have done. Very cool. I'm just leaving this everywhere I can in hopes that one day it may go viral. bahahaha, odds of that happening? 1:19043720387602876305^3 Also in my signature is an Apollo 11 video I made. -

Nice job! But you can also use only RCS with big, heavy craft as well. -

You can google "kerpollo" and you will find a link to kspyards. The rocket there is the one I used in the below mission. Comes with Saturn V, SM, CM, and LM. The parts are weirdly scaled, but it will get to the Mun and land. You'll have to find a separate escape tower, I used NovaPunch's I believe. Heres my Apollo 11 mission. It is fairly accurate (except the launch angle. That was a herpderp), using information I found at the Kennedy Space Center. -

I love seeing the smoke trails coming off the Dreflügler, that must be one sick Kerbal. I miss the game. I can't wait to get home to play nonstop! -
Asteroid belt...excellent.

You could always just have something like this. From Kennedy Space Center (sorry, my video camera doesn't take that fantastic of stills). Though I think that too many memorials will be over the top.

Apollo/Saturn V Replica
Shortsonfire79 replied to Ekku Zakku's topic in KSP1 The Spacecraft Exchange
The Saturn V pack is very very capable of getting the S-IC, S-II, S-IVB, LM, SM, and CM to their proper positions in the Apollo missions, though the engines aren't rated to ISP values, they're still the thrust capacity. I just posted a fairly accurate Apollo video yesterday. And Ekku, I think your rocket's staging might have been messed up when you uploaded your .craft. I could be flying it wrong (with Mechjeb after the first manual failure), but after the initial stage, I initialized the second stage and the fairings blew off and the escape tower ignited and left the bulk of the rocket behind. This was at 13km. Your #8 stage is placed incorrectly. I really like the design though, its great. I fiddled with the staging, and it does indeed resemble the Apollo missions. Very nice job. -

Last time I tried this, the pieces collided with each other and exploded. ;( -
Instead of creating a one off thread for my video, I went and dug for a half hour to find this one (search didn't help much) and necropost. And also instead of posting in the Armstrong remembrance thread, I think it'll do just fine here. Heres my Apollo 11 mission. It is fairly accurate (to my knowledge), using information I found at the Kennedy Space Center.
