  1. I put Joker in a retro-grade orbit around the sun for the time being. I plan to move it to a moon of one of the other planets once I get them added in. As for DDS yea that's probably in the works. Comet tail is a no. I wanted to keep them as close as possible to the originals which is why I kept the ridiculous rotation of Inaccessible. That may need to be tweaked down slightly if no one finds it possible to actually land on it.

If the rotation is the same as Krag's original Inaccessible, then landing is completely possible, but only at the poles. Or if you have KAS installed.

  2. I would make Microsoft never hire the guy who added that "feature" into Microsoft Excel that makes you instantly navigate to the bottom of a sheet when you accidentally double click on the edge of the cell while trying to edit the contents of the cell, causing you to lose your place in a 10000 line spreadsheet. If I ever meet that guy, I ought to give him a punch in the face. (And you can't even turn it off without disabling a dozen other features that are actually useful! I mean, come on.)

  3. Ah! Finally! More results! I was starting to think that the government was going around cleansing the media of any new mention of the device.:)

It really is nice to get some more results. I really was considering trying to build my own just so that I could get some closure on the subject.

  4. I used to experience a bit of a stutter, but only in the VAB, and even then only after loooong building sessions with extremely large ships. Very, very occasionally it would occur in the flight scene under similar circumstances, but restarting the game always fixed it. It seems to have disappeared a version or two ago, though. And it's hardly on every video about KSP. In fact, most Youtube videos that I've seen seem to more or less be devoid of the stutter. Maybe I just haven't seen enough videos, though.

  5. Do not Deorbit and mine the Boulder with high-powered argon lasers while near a disturbance in the Force without paying very close attention to nearby quantum vacuum fluxuations. I speak from experience, here.

    UPDATE:

Please, for the survival of humanity's sake, do not use technobabble near the Magic Boulder.

  6. I, too, am an amateur author (emphasis on amateur). I started by writing superhero-like stories when I was eight, then tried (and failed) to move into science fiction between the ages of ten and thirteen. For the five years since, I've moved into epic fantasy (Wheel of Time, Lord of the Rings, etc.) and feel like I do much better with fantasy than science fiction. If you enjoy building worlds from the ground up, try writing a bit of fantasy.

Here are a few essays by a fantasy author about magic systems in fantasy. I'd recommend reading them even if you're not writing fantasy. A lot of what they say can be extrapolated to many aspects and genres of writing.
