  1. It doesn't matter what the are or are not (yet) doing. What matters is that they are claiming the right to do this. #boycottKSP, demand they change that EULA.
  2. Yeah, I think we're hearing from them in this thread. just under several alts
  3. RIIIIGHT. #BoycottKSP Shorter, more to the point.
  4. Which is why I will never install so much as a demo of a TT product, ever.
  5. Which is why I haven't bought a MS product since 2013
  6. Yeah I'm beginning to wonder about the enforceablity of any of this. They get to unilaterally change the license (to this draconian, identity theft EULA) and if don't like it, I MUST stop using the software, but they get to keep my money? I don't think so. 1.31 FOREVER!
  7. For sale: A slightly used license for KSP; works as new; with DLC option and an itsy-bitsy teenie-weenie piece of spyware; price tbd LOL (also a violation of the new EULA.)
  8. I'm in. We could try. I wouldn't be surprised if this thread and the entire topic disappears from the forum. Surely they've snuck something into the TOS of the forum that we're violating just by talking about this.
  9. I'm still playing 1.3 and will be carefully going over my 1.3 EULA (which is the last one I agreed to)
  10. you're not paying attention. 1. they don't offer an option in 1.4 2. its not debug data, its (a LOT of) personal information. What? I'm confused someone was complaining about the word "spyware" before, but it does seem accurate
  11. "We've made too many compromises already; too many retreats. They invade our space and we fall back. They assimilate entire worlds and we fall back. Not again. The line must be drawn here! This far, no further!"
  12. No the EULA says they'll gather it all now, and phone home later. And one might assume they'll start a "licence check" on startup that requires inet.
  13. Oh dear.. have I started something? Many thanks! Thanks guys, I needed a laugh today.
  14. I think there "may" be one or two (or really just one) TT employees in this thread.
  15. I shouldn't talk, I have a Yahoo account under the name Brian Lord.
  16. Technically that's "computer fraud" you know. Not that I disagree with your act of civil disobedience. LOLOLOL
  17. It the title of this thread. And if any EULA claims they have the right to my PHOTO, CC info and purchases (not just purchases I make from them, mind you) ... Yeah, you're absolutely right, the word "spyware" does come to mind.
  18. Didn't really care, until I read the EULA. But even then no panic was involved. I'm just voting with my feet. A sad day for KSP. "inflammatory words" oooh
  19. Even when you know that before you buy? A. yes B.when I bought this it wasn't that way.
  20. WHAT? I don't know what you're talking about. I've never even heard of TT before this week when I started read their EULA. Is not liking that "having an axe to grind?" /And I would expect a "linuxguru"gamer to understand that. EDIT: do you make any money from that streaming you advertise in your sig? That's specifically disallowed in the new EULA.
