ISRU is probably the least realistic thing in the game, as far as major features. Fuel in general isn't very realistic but ISRU is pretty much magic. You are basically turning rock into rocket fuel.

You can go to Duna at any time. Transfer windows just mean you don't have to pack as much fuel. It's up to you if you want to jump ahead in the world's first contracts. There is nothing forcing you to play them in that order, however they will only appear if you haven't done it before. So if you go to Dres, you won't get a world's first for that later.

How is it a factor to consider? You have to consider that your space center will randomly explode due to hurricane? How is that gameplay value? -

How does that add gameplay value? I'm sure I could write a mod to make your VAB blow up at random intervals and blame it on a hurricane, but it doesn't sound like a lot of fun. -
You can fit a lot in 1 and a half lines (it's actually 4 lines though, including the title). Not sure what you are talking about there.

Well, this isn't SimCity. The response of a space agency to all of these types of disasters would be to scrub the launch. That doesn't add a lot of gameplay value. -
Yep. My lifter sub-assemblies have the tech tree tier (for career games), payload mass, cross section size, maximum circular orbit (assuming full payload), number of stages and number of actual stage groups (because I don't count firing an engine and decoupling it as 2 stages when discussing how many stages a rocket has). I don't ever edit the config files. I could fit more in there but don't have a need to right now.

That is a very unsafe thing to say. When I start a new career now, I give myself all the science so I can fund my program without going through that terribly unbalanced tech tree. My career really begins when the tech tree is finished, not before. Unlocking tech tree nodes is just annoying. -

I brought up the in-game achievements as a way to settle the whole "non-users can't have steam achievements" claim. That was just to demonstrate it can still be done. -

So in other words, there is no mod that adds achievements. Only the game creator can add achievements. Valve won't allow mods to do it. -

That's not a problem if they do them in-game and then mirror them to Steam. The Steam achievements will represent your first time while the in-game ones can be done once per install (cause there is no way to track them) -
That makes it dead. Just cause they took it and bundled it with a bunch of BS sci-fi nonsense from Tony Stark, doesn't mean ALG is still here. And they dumped everything together so you can't figure out how to delete all that crap. I still hope someone someday can revive ALG.

We have a challenges forum and many offer badges. Achievements aren't much different, they are just built in.
