1. Yup, in game it's still slow as all hell. A little better the menu, but still unplayable. Also, my tool icons appear to be miniaturized... :S
 2. Hello all, I'm noticing significant slowdown on X86 with ATM running. With my mod list I can't run the game without either openGL force or ATM. Game loads and plays fine with all mods in forced open GL, but if I disable that and run on ATM my frame rate completely plummets to unplayable levels. Not sure how ATM would do this but if I remove ATM the problem vanishes (but I still need openGL to load, but that's a RAM limit issue). My mod list:

Astronomers visual pack

Better Atmospheres

B9

Deadly Reentry

Distant objects enhancments

Docking indicator

Editor Extensions

Envrionmental Visual Enhancements

FAR

Fine Print!

Modular Kolonization

Infernal Robotics

Kerbal Attachment system

Kerbal Engineer

Kerbal Joint Reinforcement

Procedural Fairings

TAC Fuel Balancer

TAC LS

Texture replacer

Blizzy Toolbar

Procedural Wings

RealChute

KSP interstellar

Tweakscale

BahamutoD Armory

Any ideas? I can provide relevant logs if needed.
 3. How balanced are the part costs? Judging by the mod info post there's been some tweaking, but are we talking 'basically not career mode compatible' or 'needs another pass or two to fine tune'?
 4. *Base drums in a slow roll please* What creature could cast such a shadow? It's the ACSP! She's big. And she's got more lift than a crane. Here's the full album for the mission! Note that there's a lot of filler in here: http://imgur.com/a/dsGmG#0 Here's the end result: None too shabby. The ascent profile is in the craft file as per the rules of the competition, but here's some useful stuff: Has good roll stability but tends to twitch vertically*. Recommend disabling SAS and flying on pure aerodynamics. Control groups: 1. Toggle Sabres (NOT mode switch) 2. Final ascent mode- switches Sabres to rocket mode and fires up the nuclear engine. Maximum thrust. 3. Distant travel mode, shuts down Sabres and turns on nuke. Very good ISP but lower thrust. Works in Vacuum. 4. Nucelar toggle. Good to disable this when descending. 5. Manual Sabre Mode Toggle. go into open cycle before you use sabres in atmo. *A lot when transonic. When supersonic she flies nice and stable. So, you wanna the craft file? You can havva the craft file! Mods: B9 FAR (of course!) Hot rockets for pretty engines. Astronomers pack for texture upgrades. Better atmospheres for... well. Distant object enhancements (you can see Minmus in a couple of the ascent shots). I can't think of anything else I've got running that's relevant (I have a LOT of mods). Oh, and this is it's theme tune. I was listening to this when I sketched the basic design. And the behavior of the craft is very fitting:
 5. So I'm thinking of entering this. http://imgur.com/a/18OhO#0 What do you all reckon? If it's up to snuff I'll post a proper submission.
 6. Does this fix the issue with Sabre parts mounting like radial parts rather than snapping to the connection node?
 7. Well given that I was looking to mine Alumina, I searched for that. Guess what, it doesn't have a wiki entry. Plus that doesn't answer my question. Is there any way to locate these items in game or do I need to refer to a wiki?
 8. Hey guys, a quick question on resource location... So I landed an ISRU on Minmus with the intention of mining some water to create fuel. I can mine and electrolyze water, so that works. However the set up also had a hybrid aluminum rocket so it could be relocated if needed (I wanted to keep it near a lab I'd put down but the lab wasn't in a great place- this is why flying while drunk is never a good idea). Anyway, I can't mine alumina. I'm guessing that minmus contains no alumina which is fair enough, but it would have been better to know that before I added all that mass! So does anyone know how to establish the mineral content of a planet? I know the Gamma Ray Spectrometer can locate nuclear fuels, but is there any other way to establish what other resources are available on a planet? For example, is there water on the Mun? How would I know without going online or checking the game files (which scare me). Thanks in advance everyone!
