  1. both the struggle and testrocket 1.1 can't reach space anymore they can't even get close to it now.
  2. but that's the trick. ablator has mass. i could spare a declocker by using the payload with the heat shield but that simply feels wrong.
  3. just to make sure i didn't break any rules. the nose cone is a heat shield with 0 ablator so just a structure part with over 3000 heat resistence.
  4. @Maelstrom Vortex it's ion= 2.37 the rest is not on a decoupler or docking point. so in term of the rules it would be 100/185.59*2.37= 1.277008459507517% just remove everything in the cargo and repleace it with something sticking to a decoupler or docking node, deactived every fuel in it and fly in in orbit. BTW. your ISRU is not centered correctly.
  5. i just broke the record by a little bit... : http://abload.de/img/challengev31iyut8.png http://abload.de/img/challengev32gluxd.png http://abload.de/img/challengev33ybuaf.png http://abload.de/img/challengev3418uir.png http://abload.de/img/challengev35spucm.png i messed most of the screns up but it is. 100/9.53*4.6=48.26862539349423 i'm going to make a video. f5 saved it: http://abload.de/img/challengev3new126u84.png http://abload.de/img/challengev3new2npuoy.png
  6. your math doesn't make any sense too me can you share the craft? i mean the dry plane should be at about 120-220 tons. so how to get a fraction of 40 % with a small payload of 202/206 ton?
  7. it is ok to disable engines and air intakes? and there is a simply trick to fly it without to disable anything. just watch the tail fins and use q/e to correct them and it will fly totally normal at low speed.
  8. they don't explode that's the major reason and that's why there are 2. ram like to explode. i know the rounds only have 1900 and the ram 2100 but still the rams over heat faster in my tests. i needed more fuel and i'm using air breathing for a long time.
  9. here a proper video from "the struggle" and the craft http://kerbalx.com/freehuhn/the-struggle
  10. ok next try: http://abload.de/img/challengev21bquhd.png http://abload.de/img/challengev22t2ujj.png http://abload.de/img/challengev24cvurx.png 100/11.44*3.58=31.2937062937063 right? - - - Updated - - - it's 11.6 in the sph why is it 11.44-11.43 on the runway? buggy air intakes?
  11. does the intake break the rule? http://abload.de/img/challenge1myugx.png http://abload.de/img/challenge28pume.png http://abload.de/img/challenge4yfudn.png 100/6.9*1.8 = 26.0869565217391 right?
  12. the 48-7S is not really overpowered. it is on place 3 in term of TWR 30.6 : http://wiki.kerbalspaceprogram.com/wiki/Parts#Liquid_Fuel_Engines the ISP of 300-350 is making them more balance. but your engines have bad ISP and bad TWR.
  13. here more problem with the parts: all stock monopropellant tanks have a crash tolerance of 12 m/s all your tanks have 6 m/s. the FL R15 and FL R50 have way to little fuel for there size. the rackmax spinnaker has the same trust as the rockmax 48-7s (weight 0.1) but has a weight of (0.125) is about 5 times as big and has a ISP of 285-335. this part has a very powerful alternator the alternator is more powerful than the alternator from the stock s3 ks-25x4 (the biggest stock engine). small things: the LV T5 bigger than the rockmax 48-7s but has only 5 trust compared to the 30 trust and has a weight of 0.5 feels a little bit odd. the TtH feels odd to for the same reason. the RV-50 is just a cheaper replacement for the stock one they have the same stats. the stock alike look of the parts is lovely!
  14. ok to me just crash them in the ground or? i'm totally not able to do this: "Test TR-18A Stack Decoupler splashed down at Kerbin" how to achieve >splashed down< doesn't sound to hard for me to splash something down ...
