Heres some of my best and worst spacecraft. This was my first interplanetary vessel. The JCS Jebediah. It started life as a space station, but a little bit of rearranging turned it into a pretty serviceable vessel. IIRC i ended up flying it to Mun, Minmus, and Duna. It was pretty wobbly though. Its also carrying some prototype landers, including what would eventually become.... This was one of my most successful landers early on. The Roll-Lem class landers eventually saw use on many of the planets in the Kerbol system. It wasnt a hugely stable rover, but with careful use of the landing legs you could generally flip it back over. After some refinements, the Jebediah class vessels gave way to the Dudberry class. A much more stable and versatile ship. This one is seen carrying some later model Roll-Lem landers. For a mission to Duna. And Ike. This one managed to land without destroying the descent stage. Has anybody else tried anything as dumb as this? And if so... did you take the next logical step?? Flying rocket train... Its great for generating debris fields. This next thing was the Samlo Class Mothership. Designed to go into the deepest reaches of the Kerbol system. Here she is with full payload. Six landers in all. It was a pretty wobbly arrangement though. Your standard Munar Rover. Ok the thing w/ 3 orange tanks is a basic craft I used for awhile. Bob Class vessel IIRC. But docked to it is the only fully successful space plane ive ever built. It was a big ******* though & turned out pretty useless. This is the SC Steve. On its way to Eve. You might think that lander doesnt look big enough to get back off Eve. And you'd be right. I tried a few crazy designs to get Steve back from Eve. Like this thing... but i dont think I ever retrieved Steve from Eve. IIRC that was when the version with science/career mode came out & I started all over leaving Steve there for all eternity. This is the Sci-Rovi.. one of my most successful designs. As you can see it carries its own science lab, as well as all the important experiments. This one has landed on Minmus and has yet to discard the side-mounted descent stages. Then i developed the Sci-Fly lander. Here it is flying over Laythe. Its been a great little plane, this mission was hugely successful. Except of course it cant return to orbit since its jet-only. The other main flaw in the design is weakish landing gear.... well and the delivery system is a bit dodgy. Anyway, hope you enjoyed looking at my ships.
