I am trying to play RO with active texture management. I am using 32 bit KSP, blah blah blah all the usual fixes, but I get this problem with KSP freezing while trying to load RSS planets. Sometimes it crashes. I have read the Active texture management thread and I know that it is supposed to crash but it has done this ~20 times. Sometimes I get to loading 8/17, then it crashes, but the next time it freezes at 6/17. note that when I say freezes, I do not mean that KSP freezes, but rather the loading of the RSS textures and planetary editing freezes. The little kerbal in the corner still looks around and the planet in the top still spins. Anyone got any ideas? BTW all my mods are up to date and are installed via CKAN

I only use FAR, KIDS, KW, and Mechjeb for help and I get into orbit fine. I've gotten a space station up there with a fuel supply and everything. Here is the biggest rocket I have used; it carries 30t into orbit in RSS. It really looks sane. It resembles the Delta-iv heavy http://imgur.com/XI45444

Hello, I have been using FAR and Real Solar System and I have been getting into orbit okay, but there are a few things I would like to know. 1. How much vacuum dV do I need precisely? 9600 seems to be the number, but I am not sure. Also, how does t/w ratio affect that number? 2. What is the best ascent profile? 3. Where is the best place to launch for which missions? 4. Also, are there any numbers for Mars/Moon? If there is anything else I need I will edit this post. If anyone has any answers to these questions or any suggestions/tips, just reply! Thanks!

You should check out Overfloater (youtube.com/MrOverfloater) if you already haven't. He's got some ridiculously cool stock cargo SSTOs that go to Laythe or Duna without refueling. He uses a really weird design, so you may wanna look at that for some ideas whenever you get stumped. Also, watching 40 tons being delivered to Duna with no refueling is pretty awesome if you ask me.
