  1. I love both the US and Soviet/Russian space programs. I grew up with Shuttle launches. I always loved Shuttle launches. Heck, my earliest childhood memory is watching a shuttle launch (unfortunately, it was STS-51-L.) The US program from beginning to now has been a technological marvel. But I also have a soft spot for the elegant simplicity of the R7 rockets. US rockets use a complicated system of sensors, electronics, and explosives to separate boosters. The R7\'s boosters run out of fuel and then fall off because they\'re not attached - it doesn\'t get anymore foolproof than that. It\'s fascinating to look at the drastically different approaches to rocket technology and I think that anyone who can\'t look at both and appreciate them is short sighted.
  2. We think of transhumanism as the kind of stuff you see in the Deus Ex series, but the concept has been around ever since Thag the caveman picked up a rock and realized he could hit his brother Thog a lot harder with his enhanced fist.
  3. Is loading .22 into a belt as painfully slow and tedious as I think it is?
  4. Speaking of fairings, any intent of making them activate even if disconnected?

    Paradox

Meaning is not derived from syntax. It\'s like asking someone to draw a triangular circle on a Cartesian plane. At the formal logical level, the liar paradox is simply an invalid statement.
  6. Thanks for all the work on this. You did a great job balancing everything, it brings back the fun of when I was just getting started with the game and makes tasks like target orbits, mun landings, etc. achievable but not too easy. I love the flavor text for the parts, the first thing I did was go through and read all the part descriptions and they\'re very much in the spirit of Kerbal. At this point making new stock parts wold be a duplication of effort, they should just write you a check and use these I have two suggestions: - Add the ActivatesEvenIfDisconnected = True parameter to payload fairings so they\'ll separate if they\'re in the same stage as the decoupler the base is attached to. - Make a slightly wider set of fairings that will fit a 1m stack with the small lander legs.
  7. This thread is like watching a bunch of economists trying to explain physics in terms they can understand.
  8. Nice. Since you have the model done, I think it would also be appropriate to dress her up Rosie the Riveter style to inspire the women of Kerbin.
  9. This. The astronauts on moon missions calculated everything by hand so they could make the rest of the flight manually if anything failed.
