  1. Once, when I was around 4 or 5, I dreamed about my family driving in a refugee caravan through the Rocky Mountains away from marauding motorcycle Vikings.
  2. I think that, similar to the 909, the radial engines are better suited to a vacuum. That's where I've found the most use for them, especially in base construction on the Mun and Minmus. Even though the drag is high, they're still useful. I think a buff would be unnecessary for what use there already is for them. Edit: welp the ninjas have found me.
  3. Banned for using exclamation points.

  8. I haven't really done rovers, but I had an Ike probe hitching a ride on my Duna lander on the side, and so I used I-beams as counterweight. Lower delta V, but effective.

  11. Ok, that's fine to cease and desist. Plus, unlike much of the rest of the Internet, (if not so uncommon here), you can actually support an opinion. I just feel that a society should feel morally obligated to follow it's laws, even though there is no direct correlation. It seems counterproductive to base any society on self-guided morality, as many would not think about anything but theft and murder for their own gain, and there would be little left over. In any case, I respect your position even if I do not neccesarily agree with it.
  12. 100 divided by 3 rounded to two significant figures = 33
  13. Actually, according to article 98 of the preamble to the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea: So, in fact, there is a legal obligation to save lives. Additionally, it becomes a moral obligation through the nature of law. Since it is assumed there is a knowledge of this sinking ship, this fictional captain would, in fact, be required by law to send one of his ships.
  14. Thread title: please avoid using dark pictures! *thread turns into dark picture showcase*
  15. Well, we're talking about Star Trek, which is slightly more possible than Star Wars in a lot of ways. Additionally, overanalysis is fun.
  16. Actually, a maximum velocity could be achieved by constant thrust radial in. If done at the perhaps is of a eccentric orbit, a circular orbit could be artificially achieved through constant centripetal acceleration that would be faster than a standard orbit at the same altitude. Inefficient, but manageable for Star Trek tech.
  17. Knowing is half the battle, and the other half is violence!
