  1. Basically, it's like flying, just when you don't get enough lift you fall up. If you get enough speed, a few winglets can allow you to "fly" underwater. A few winglets is all it takes to keep you submerged, but as soon as you stop, you rise again.
  2. this is not the problem it goes sideways only
  3. I built a plane, but it never takes off because of this unbalanced drag force and I have no idea where it came from. I took the plane apart and all but I can't find why it's so unbalanced. Starting off: Inside: (Where the drag force is) Exploding: It works when the debug menu has it on "drag spheres" instead of cubes.
  4. Pictures? Also, try the offset tool or alt + F12 part clipping (the bottom two)
  5. I tried using infernal robotics to make it spin, but the aircraft rolls and makes it unstable.
  6. A replica of the Su-26M. It's not as aerobatic as the real one though, but it's still good. Try flying it without SAS, it actually works pretty well. Download
  7. I tried to replicate the prettiest Just Cause 2 jet, the G9 Eclipse. A real one: KSP Replica: Download
  8. My second attempt at a VTOL, the Tanta CEVEA. (Cargo bay Enclosed Vertical Engine Aircraft) It has a probe core on top, some RCS, and canards. The pictures might not have canards but trust me the plane is better with canards.
  9. These rockets are pretty good, you can take them as example. There are also Wikipedia pages about launcher weights and such. Also try putting together your designs with these parts. If you can send me your designs I might be able to build the rocket and give you tips and all that.
  10. Maybe it switched to orbital speed. Click on the speed indicator on the navball one or two times and see if the numbers are set properly.
  11. This looks really cool! How long have you been working on this for?
  12. I don't have much experience building things so I'm hoping I could get some feedback. It's a boat. 13. Do I really have to create an account to download it? *is angry* So for some reason it just won't let me make one, so could you host it on dropbox instead?
  14. Could you send a .craft file? I'd like to see what's up. Also, try adding Sepatrons to the plane to slow down more at landing.
  15. You can undo with Control-Z or Command-Z. Speaking of controls, I'd also like to be able to see the game controls without having to exit and go to the settings and check it there.
  16. Try making the wheels a bit wider, maybe have some on the wings. For some reason, if your wheels are too close together, it'll tip sideways. It's like the plane is on a tightrope.
  17. I don't think anyone has mentioned how to add Kerbals. There should be a blue icon, to the left of the name of the ship, with a kerbal on it. Click it, and it will let you choose who goes on the flight. You can then click the parts button next to it to continue editing. If you edit the ship, the list of Kerbals going on the flight will reset, so make sure you do that one last. Edit: [3] You can go to the tracking station, double-click the Mun, and look around for a landing spot.
  18. I got the equation from this website, in the propulsion section. q is fuel consumption, and C is effective exhaust gas velocity. C can also be rewritten as Ve. Sorry about that. Edit: I think Kerbal Engineer Redux also has the total burn time for a stage, you could use the right-click menu in the VAB and change the fuel in the tank to the dV you need, find the burn time, and put it back.
  19. Are you using manoeuvre nodes? Also, the equation for burn time is: M / q × [ 1 - 1 / e(DV / C) ]
  20. Yes! I started playing around with it randomly and I made some silly fighting game with it. I've learned Python now, but I still don't have any ideas of what to do next. The first serious game I did was Arm Flailer, but it was almost finished before I gave up. I then made Microwaveable Simulator 2014. Just a quick thing I did in a few hours. Then I did Super Basketball Tournament on my holiday in Hong Kong. It was my first proper game, with AI and everything. My last one was Fighter-37, about a jet fighter beating up bad guys. A simple arcade game, it was fun to make though. I had 32 Scratch projects in my projects folder. I also did a tic-tac-toe AI that would almost win every time.
  21. This might help. I wonder if he has a forum account, that would be pretty cool.
  22. I have another idea. Maybe an unmanned ship with food and resources can go to Mars orbit first and maybe even with a return module, then the manned ship will rendezvous with the first one so that the weight and resources aren't too much for a single ship.
  23. I wasn't seriously suggesting having a CSM/LM around Mars, but more like a modified version or heavy version. I was probably too vague. But I still really appreciate all your comments, and now I realise how silly I was. At this point I'm actually a bit doubtful that any manned landing will happen at all.
