  1. Where can I sign up for ksp2? I also experienced a game breaking crash... While trying mods that we're not explicitly for .24. I did a fresh install and I'm going to play stock until the mods catch up. Problem solved.
  2. It could be. I read somewhere on here that the mouse clicking thing is a unity64 problem, the spacebar might be, too. I'm using the 64 bit version, so far those are the only issues I've had. Everything else works fine. I haven't encountered any lag either, but I haven't gotten to crazy sized ships yet. this whole 'funds' thing makes me rethink designs a lot (in a good way).
  3. I had one mission where I was going to test some booster on take off and then test radial parachutes at some altitude, and then reach space (this was early on). I slapped the radial chutes on the booster, and planned to continue my ascent by deploying the chutes while releasing the booster, so I could continue climbing to space. About the time I was going to hit the chutes (and simultaneously release the booster they were attached to) I realized I had forgotten to put any other chutes on the capsule! I quickly changed the staging to only deploy chutes, then I had to ride it out all the way to the ground, with all of that extra fuel and weight of the original booster. Since this was all way down on the rocket, I landed nose (capsule) down at a much higher velocity than I wanted. I hit the ocean, though, and through some miracle (or through Jeb's overwhelming awesomeness) the capsule survived, though the rest of the rocket broke up! Jeb survived, 2/3 missions complete, and I recovered money from the capsule. I was mighty scared, but jeb never flinched.
  4. Yeah i have the same problem (mouse click bug and space bar bug) intermittently. It has cost me a bit of extra fuel, but it has yet to ruin a mission for me, so I'm not too concerned.
  5. I agree, loving the new career mode. I haven't hit any money troubles but I haven't unlocked any really expensive. Plus I try to piggy back a few contracts at once, and pick some really high paying ones. I think the contract system is pushing me, too. I only just landed on the min and got a contract to explore Ike.
  6. Ok i've played for a few straight hours now. My neck is killing me but I don't care! I'm loving the new contract system! I haven't tried any mods yet, though. Going to go stock for a while.
  7. Anybody else having a staging problem? I need to hit spacebar a few times before it'll start staging. Don't know if it's a game problem, or a problem with my 8 year old keyboard. Come to think of it, I believe this thing has 'ingested' a few cups of coffee over the years. It's probably the keyboard.
  8. Went to that charity website but they only take paypal and I can't remember my password!!!
  9. Awesome! I love how the kerbal was scared of the cat. At his size, a cat is practically a lion!
  10. Can you burn hype with a different oxidizer? Like liquid anticipation?
  11. I am disappoint... Oh well, better off waiting for something that works than getting something now that's broken...
  12. Maybe they found they had added a K to a word that already started with K? 'KKerbin' just looks weird.
  13. Reminds me of that scene in Dumb and Dumber: "What are my odds? One in a thousand?" "More like one in a million" "So your telling me there's a chance!" (For the record, first (and second) time I tried posting this I got a 502 error, the error monsters are not yet slain)
  14. Certainly better odds than most of my missions! I always launch and THEN realize I forgot something, like parachutes, or life support.
  15. Mun rover Showing off a fancy feature- the rover-jack system. When I popped the front tires going over some sweet jumps, this raises the whole rover up off the ground. I then fix the tires without it jumping in the low gravity, lower it back down, and continue going over sweet jumps. repeat. I wasn't sure this ship would survive. aerobraking at Jool with deadly reentry, while the moon landers were only attached with docking ports. It worked, I didn't lose anything. Also, that's one of my favorite science descriptions. Laythe lander coming in hot: another one: Mission to Gilly: Older Jool mission ship- no landers, just orbital science: Orbital refuelling station and 2 interplanetary ships: Next 3 photos go together: Weeeeeeee! Uh oh........ Yep, it's on fire, this is definitely not good.
  16. Hello! I didn't just buy the game (I've had it for a couple months now) but I haven't been on this forum yet. Right now i'm waiting for .24, literally checking every hour or so. Admittedly that's stupid, since it's Sunday right now, but I can't help it. I don't really have any newbie type questions at the moment, so I guess I'll post some pics? An interplanetary ship with ion engines and rockets. Mun science rover. I may have 'borrowed' much of that design from Kurtjmac's youtube series, but I added a built in jack. When the tires pop, I use the struts to raise the thing up off the ground like a race car's built in airjack thing, and I can repair the tire without it flipping the rover over in the low gravity. another shot: This is a more advanced Jool mission ship: That had a lander for each one of jool's moons. They all worked (barely) except for the Tylo one, which was a miserable failure. The back end of the ship has detachable ion engine 'boosters'. I used those to nearly get to a jool encounter and save rocket fuel. Then, I just release them and carry on with less weight and part count to reduce lag. I guess that won't work now that career mode will have parts cost now... Airbraking: I suppose that was a bad idea with deadly reentry installed, but it worked out.
