Hehe respect and love for all But , a sidenote, perhaps Kerbal forums is not the best place to throw comments like Augustus did with caps Majority of the community here have a very good grasp on reality and what stuff is happening around the world. And on top of that i am pretty sure we have pretty bright people skimming the forums here. And , the fact is that Humanity has to expand out of Earth if we are to survive as a species (a fact). So sending probes, and doing stuff to achieve this is a good thing, who ever sends em and what ever happends to them, as long as the outcome is reached. Peace ! 2c

Gamers , When we buy games from big houses like EA etc, we have zero patiance vs problems and bugs, BUT when we buy stuff from smaller companies etc, we always know that to get our candy we need to wait for the patches, and the biggest and most wonderfull thing is, we usually get our problems fixed faster by small gaming houses then we get from the big gaming houses. Now about that modding thing, Big gaming houses usually do not want modding to be possible, WHY ? its due to replayablity and the fact that big gaming houses want us to play the game and then play the next game = more money for them in the long haul, PLUS DLCs on the side = even more money. Modding is something that should viewed as gold and fluff for us players, its great thing to have in a game as a possiblity and it gives us all so so many more hours of enjoyment. Now Modders usually get very little back from their mods and time spent, thus we the gamers should have respect for the modders (altho some modders might be a bit blunt vs us, but what ever, they do it for free and should be respected as they deserve that respect from us). Now we get mods and the game in question gets patched, and sometimes mods dont work or are just forgotten. This is life. We deal with it, and some of us try to effect old modders to come back and mod for us to get that game back on track for full enjoyment. => When we want something to be added to a mod, the best and most effective way is to become a constant contributor to the mod thread, and give feedback and posts that X thing would be so nice to have in that mod, and give info, WHY it would be so nice. IF that fails, some modders go to an extent to mod their mod specially for you, and this is something special some modders have done for different communities i know from the gaming world. Be part of the modders community, dont be a negative piece of the puzzle, this way, you just might get your nice thing added to the mod(s). Sidenote : Modders always need help, if some of us can help them in any way possible, it makes the final puzzle better. my 2c

There is a simple phrase to these moments, Damned if you do, damned if you don't As a developer or producer, you have to take this mantra in your life and understand it and live by its rule, and only do what you see is best for the "product". There is always haters and loud small parts of the community that tries to effect the "product". Being too open and listening to the social structures around us too much, leads to devastation.

Tweaked aerodynamics ?
Bloodlance replied to Vindelle_Sunveam's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
i would be happy to have a solid strut option, that way i could connect the solids together from top to bottom via struts (struts going between the solids) so the outcome would be a boxed solid frame that would fall perfectly in one form downwards. perhaps the solid steel bars can work like this have to test. -

Spaceplane weirdness
Bloodlance replied to Wanderfound's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
i found out that in the new patch 0.24.1 and 0.24.2 there is a problem with parts flying off our crafts more easier then before. basically i mean that in example, earlier builds of fighter craft i have made, now loose 100% off all external wings and parts if i simply try to turn @150++ speeds. Even a slight turn makes my wings be torn off. i assume part of your gear stress+pressure from the force against them when you move faster makes them get loose. Meaning you need some VTOL in your craft for landing and takeoff. my 2c. -
Tweaked aerodynamics ?

Change in drag does not explain the insane forces effecting side releases. even with 3 decouplers and 10 seperatrons, the side released objects RAM in your rocket. -
0.24.1 and 0.24.2 introduced a new problem to KSP http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/88026-Decouplers-failing-to-apply-ejection-forces-Still%21-%28Post-0-24-1%29 in short :

0.24 Some feedback about contracts and funds
Bloodlance replied to Azunai's topic in KSP1 Discussion
When you start the game, the game should ask the player Do you want to play KSP in IronKerbin mode ? (disable quicksave and disable rollbacks to launch and design screen) =) Also in normal career mode , the money rewards are WAY OFF, especially the big rewards. -

0.24 Some feedback about contracts and funds
Bloodlance replied to Azunai's topic in KSP1 Discussion
ALSO , to note , fix the mission where sending 0 science reports from orbit gives a mission completion ( needs to have +0.1 or more science in the report to get mission completion ). ALSO , to nore , fix the mission where you plant a flag, so you do not get a reward everytime you plant a flag with the same kerbal who is jammed in Mun surface for life. ( 1 flag planting ability for 1 kerbal = so basicly one dude has 1 flag with him. ) -
0.24 Some feedback about contracts and funds
Bloodlance replied to Azunai's topic in KSP1 Discussion
i feel that the higher tier big missions should reward only funds. and the negative effect of the missions should be -120% funds if failed. also the science side of the missions, if a mission has science it should reduce the funds amounts the more science is given, so you loose a lot of funds getting those science points. So it might even be a viable thing to have missions with 0 funds rewarded with ie. 50 science reward with -50 000 funds if failed. -
New game with ALT+F12 disabling quicksave and quickload and rerolling back to launchpad/design screen and i am with around 600 000 Kerbux/Funds and every dime i use is needed to be spent effectively Lost 120 000 Kerbux ship last night due to pilot error but life is life. Now i try to get a orbital station at Kerbin and then do the same for Mun, with supply ships to both and a tug. , also one satellite to both with Kethane detectors.
-
old game i had 2.6mil , and it dropped to 1mil when i did my orbital bases to Kerbin and Mun Orbits (vanilla 100%) new game i have 600k kerbux , and i have used ALT+F12 and disabled quicksave/load and reroll back to launchpad and design screen. So when i leave platform its all or nothing much more enjoyable that new game. Vanilla is too easy (but i guess its easy for the new players) and the players who want more hardship know how to get it.

early game rescue missions are way too easy for too much gold.
Bloodlance replied to lammatt's topic in KSP1 Discussion
Alt+F12 disable quicksave/load and disable rollbacks to launch and rollback to planning phase. And do not use cheats or abuse abusable contracts. my 2c. -
OR , you play the game. OR , you play some other game. OR , you do something else. For me, playing KSP without the funds aspect, is pointless as i need to have some limitating aspect in game. ( i use ALT+F12 , disabled quicksave/load and rollbacks to launch and planning stage ) AND as i know where the game falls short , in some aspects of the contracts, I DO NOT ABUSE THEM. Abusing a game and its mechanics and then crying about it is OK, to a point. (to show people/devs where the problem is so they can fix them). ATM, the game is highly enjoyable in the way i play it, only thing missing is food/air for my ships and space stations and it would be perfect for me. Kerbux ! where art thou ! , played like 6 hours doing missions nonstop and i have like 600 000 extra funds/Kerbux =)<insert pleasure="" stuff="" here=""></insert>
