PatPL replied to Ethanadams's topic in Science & Spaceflight
H2O. Everyone who ever drank it, died. -
1. Check your staging 2. Landing on Eve and Duna takes less deltaV than Mun landing 3. Add more struts to avoid Spontaneous Unplanned Disassembly

You should post your entry first.

I got to moho and back with single craft before i learnt how to rendezvous and dock in space. Also I send kerbals on suicide missions too often. Rest In Pieces Fredrim Kerman, first Kerbal pwned by Tylo at over 9000m/s.

Simple suggestion: Lower any other experiments of the same type & same situation & same biome by 1/3 when it's been already done in other biome. Example: You land on Mun's Highlands, and recover its surface sample - +120 science (I guess it's 120, i can't really remember) You land second time on Midlands - Now you get 80 science You land on Lowlands - 53.(3) science and so on. Same with all other experiments.

In Poland you earn something around 2500 PLN (around 600 Euros) in month. Add lots of taxes and you're left with around 70% of it - 1750 PLN (around 420 Euros). That's why almost 22 mln Poles moved out of here. Another 39 mln still live here.
-
In Poland 40 Euros is around 170 PLN. It's about 10% of month income. Quite a lot. But still worth it. (Also post #200 woo!)

I'd love to have one to use with RSS too.

PatPL replied to PatPL's topic in The Lounge
Small sneak peek at Casting: Sizes on the previev are dynamically updated, showing core, fuel and pipe to have better instinct on core size. -
Hi! I just wanted to ask you some questions about KSP. 1) Do you use Javascript or C# for scrpits in KSP? Maybe mix of both? 2) Do you use any Unity Add-Ons? 3) How messed up is your hierarchy in scenes in editor? 4) What's your modelling/texturing/coding software? Thanks in advance.

Check out this new video! Sneak peek - Cooking If you have any ideas about any change i could make, tell me. There are no stupid ideas. -
I have my own project running now, but if you will need any help, contact me. You'll use Unity, right?

I'd play it. Realism of Simple rockets, Realistic rockets like in Space Agency and gameplay like in KSP. If you will start creating this, you have my full support.

Project: Rocketry - Game about Model Rocketry | Sneak peek - Casting

You poined out most ideas i would use in Era II: - Online shopping - More casing materials: PVC, Cardboard tube, Copper pipe - More fuel possibilities: Fuel better than KNO3 + Sucrose with better Isp and thrust. For example fuel with KNO3 + Glucose mix would have little smaller Isp, but better thrust. - About research: Test site will be used for it. It's most likely used for players, that never created real rockets to find out proper mix. Later, if you buy needed hardware you will gather informations like: Exhaust velocity, pressure inside rocket, thrust, Isp. There will be fuel tests with same pipe, and rocket tests with rocket motor and nozzle if you have one. All the garthered info about fuel will stay on corkboard. Also: - In Era I and II player will have to go to some job to earn money, but in Era III and further he will gain money from launching rockets. - Nice idea with competitions! I really liked that. - Premade rocket engines - Not really what I want. I'd want to have full control on motors. - Cooking will be challenging - If you don't cook fuel enough, it won't mix properly, and will be unstable. It's internal pressure will vary very much, and may make rocket explode. Cook it too much and it will carbonize lowering thrust. - In late Era II you will have possibility to build your own liquid fuel engines, and THIS will be the best thing about creating rockets. You will shape combustion chamber, set ratios of fuel and oxidiser, create nozzles. Hard to describe, but trust me, It's going to be awesome! Right now I created almost everything in Era I. What's left is cooking, assembly, testing and launch - the most important part of game, that's almost only coding. Thanks for support! -

New News: Shops Overhaul - Buying is complete for Era I. Other cosmetic changes has been done too. Now i'll focus on the most important aspect: Actual rocket launching. Seriously. Right now it's PVC pipe buying simulator with possibility of going to buy some sugar and fertilizer. Not very interesting. This will change in next week. Stay tuned! Second update video -
Looks like Simple rockets with more realistic choices. Nice idea. Question: This screen is from actual game project or just done in graphics editor?
