I am unsure about the rules of bumping, but I want to make sure if save-mode conversion is possible and, if so, how it is possible.

In the new 0.24 update, Career-mode was changed and now uses a system of Funds and contracts. As much as I like the new gamemode, my previously science-based universe is now part of that Funds system, and I'd like to convert that save into a Science-mode save. Is there any realistic method of doing this (file changes, etc)? Any and all help is greatly appreciated.
