YouTube. Justin Bright has a series on setting up bases using MKS, but it's 100 episodes long. There are other tutorials on there though. MKS is tough. Use all the resources you can find.

I'm having the same problem with Gamma Ray Bursts. Even at the lowest interval, just warping to a Duna transfer window earned me 32000 science. It would be awesome if there was an option to disable it.
