CKAN is nice. It's useful, makes it easy to install and manage mods. I've also, as an end-user, run into the problems Ferram seems to be pointing out-- I was tweaking my modlist through CKAN over the past week, and was running into weird issues more and more. Finally checked here, saw the current discussion, and checked my installed mods. and they're screwed all to hell. Literally just installing/uninstalling and updating mods all through CKAN's interface. I have various mods that are simply outright missing files, not to mention CKAN's error handling seems atrocious, leading it to corrupt files when it crashes. It was nice using CKAN, but until it's actually capable of doing what it says on the tin I'll be doing things manually again.
