Yes I do that with my own craft. For example in KSP/Star Wars episode #6 (Y-wing Attack on the Stink Works Base) I shot down the U-Wing. In the next video (#7 Walker Assault) the pilot is rescued, and in a future episode I will be introducing the updated version of the U-Wing (pictured below). You can see the new version is a much better design. I will be doing it with the AT-AT's as well... Here's the new version, the AT-M6 from The Last Jedi - Jett

Oh I know what you're saying but all I'm saying is that I'm going to use the old version in this video and blow it up (just like I do with all of my craft), then introduce the new version in a future video. You see all my Star Wars story line videos link into one long narrative, so what happens in one video impacts future installments of the saga. - Jett

My standard process when putting out a "new and improved" model is to blow up the old model in a video and then the new one is a replacement. I have an Idea that I'm pretty sure I can get to work. It's a little bit of a cheat but it's about the only way I can see it actually happening. It's going to take me a while to get it working though because I have so many other projects on the go. - Jett

I'm thinking of adding a Victory Star Destroyer and Skunktwerks' V-Wing to one of my upcoming videos... What do you think? - Jett

I have some ideas as well but keep working at it, I'm sure someone will crack this problem eventually. - Jett

There's no doubt the legs can be made to move, but it's such a large and heavy vehicle that I'm skeptical it wouldn't break itself apart trying to walk. That design definitely looks promising though. - Jett
