  1. Does anyone have a basic craft file using these mk4 parts that they'd be willing to share? I'm super curious to play with them, but my spaceplane design team appear to have missed the aerodynamics classes taught by the SPH, and nothing I can put together seems to get into orbit.
  2. I'm getting the same error, Windows 7. The rest of my game is stock aside from MechJeb, so I don't think its a corrupted save sort of problem or anything.
  3. I will try a different bottom to the rocket tonight and see if that sorts some of the issue out. Unrelated to the rotation I\'m having trouble keeping my rocket from tipping around, I think I need more SAS or something, so time to re-engineer
  4. I realize this isn\'t quite in the purview of the original post, but - how did you get that purple orbit to show up? When I do it, I only get the blue and yellow lines.
  5. Here are a couple of shots showing what I am experiencing. I will do what I can to try and narrow the issue down, if possible. First shot: Sitting on runway, Connect attached, everything hunky-dory Second shot: like 30m in the air, you can see the entire rocket has spun a good 20-30* in the span of almost no time.
  6. It\'s on the entire ship, and doesn\'t occur till after takeoff, but it happens within the first, oh, like 50M of vertical movement. Then the Mechjeb takes over and can rotate the ship back onto the \'normal\' axes. I will try with entirely stock parts later this evening, just to make sure it\'s not some weird compatibility issue within some of these plugins.
  7. I\'m running into an interesting bug with this plugin. When I launch my rocket it imparts an immediate 90* rotation that is not present without the little black box. I\'m not sure what to make of it - everything else is the same between the two setups, except one starts with that rotation and the other does not. The rotation is always almost exactly 90*, and it is always clockwise, regardless of where I put the model on my rocket. I\'m not sure what else to troubleshoot - I\'ve got a couple of mods, MuMech / Down Under Parts / Challenger LEM/PLF/etc.
  8. I am having some difficulty with my spaceship - the stages seem to do some sort of swaying dance between the 2M engine and the fuel tank in my first stage, and the interstage / fairing between stages 1 and 2. Is there some trick to preventing this? I\'m not sure if I am explaining it very well - the engine seems like it jumps around a lot, until I lift off the pad. This is what happens if I leave it on the pad for a couple minutes. It also occasionally falls straight over Hopefully those help explain it a little bit. It is shifting back and forth very quickly. Anyways, I love everything else about it, and the jumpiness does not seem to impact the actual flight very much unless it jumps so hard that it falls over on the pad. Which has been known to happen if I leave it for long enough
  9. Thanks. This has confirmed that the issue does, in fact, reside in the pilots seat. I will continue practicing and hopefully achieve success
  10. So, I have attached my current iteration of a moon lander. The lander itself is based around one that I saw in a youtube - it looks very stable, and appeared to have enough fuel to more than get the job done. The video, unfortunately, cut in about halfway through so I\'m not positive how the base was created. I\'m having trouble - this setup doesn\'t seem to have the oomph needed to get into orbit, and then from there to get an escape velocity. If anyone could take a quick look at it, and explain what I\'m doing wrong [probably needs more engines, but that means more fuel, which is more weight... somewhere I get confused.] Thanks!
  11. What is the best method of designing a lander? I started with the return module, added the lander module, and am now working on the lifter - is that pretty standard? How do you go about determining how much power is needed to catapult any given Mun Lander out of orbit?
  12. Hi everyone - I had a very simple question and thought this would probably be the place for it. What do the different symbols on the navigation globe mean? There is a purple dot with three lines near it and a couple of green target-type things. If I missed it somewhere just point me in the right direction. Thanks!
