[0.25/0.90] Better Atmospheres [V5 - June 14th, 2014]
Kreu replied to Thesonicgalaxy's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Ok, I have an answer as far as compatibility goes. I can confirm that there are no compatibility issues with BA and EVE as per thread here: http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/55905-0-23-5-7-3-EnvironmentalVisualEnhancements-NEW!-VolumetricClouds!/page375 I am making a thorough experiment to determine what is the cause for the glitch and have been checking on both EVE and BA forums. I can confirm that glitch is not of EVE or BA origin so far (though being atmispherically related makes one assume it is). -
[1.1.2][1-1-2] May 13-2016 EnvironmentalVisualEnhancements
Kreu replied to rbray89's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
It is the overhaul version that I'm testing. My trials have been with downloaded untweaked copies and I'm getting those results. I have now resorted to copying the same tweaked folders from my previous install and I'm still getting the results as I've mentioned so far. Part 6 coming up shortly -
[1.1.2][1-1-2] May 13-2016 EnvironmentalVisualEnhancements
Kreu replied to rbray89's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
So, prior to deciding what to do with BA and EVE, I've decided to run an experiment and try to seek what the cause is. First up, I installed a fresh version of KSP 0.24 booted it and so far so good. Part 1: Installed EVE, ran KSP and everything seems nominal. I do get clouds in in Vehicle view on the ground and in orbit, but none are visible from the Tracking Station view*. But no glitch so far. I presume EVE removes clouds from station view? Part 2: Uninstalled EVE and installed BA. No clouds or atmospheric effects whatsoever... I think I may have found the culprit. Part 3: Re-install EVE and run KSP with both EVE and BA. The glitch is gone but I can see the city lights out of alignment and placed instead over the ocean... hmmm that's odd. P.S. I kept the citylight.cfg from BA as it was marked as being newer instead of overwriting with the EVE version of the file. Part 4: Do the opposite and overwrite Citylights with EVE version. still out of alignment and no glitch visible yet... Part 5: Add Distant Object Enhancement. Removed Real Solar System (incompatible anyway). No effect on the glitch and lights still out of alignment. Part 6: Added Active Texture Management and it corrected the Citylights misalignment. Now off to hunt whatever is causing the glitch Part 7: Added Deadly Re-Entry... no changes. Everything nominal Part 8: Added Ferram Aerospace. Situation nominal Part 9: Did the double-check test and deleted settings.cfg - situation still nominal. It is confirmed that all atmosphere related mods are not the cause. So now on to the other add-ons... Part 10: WIP *Thanks to skbernard who kindly explained that there is no cloud rendering in map and station view. Therefore, I am treating the absence of clouds as nominal in the given circumstances. ** all EVE installs are the x64 overhaul version -

Kreu replied to rbray89's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Excuse me but I'm not sure if I understood correctly. What exactly do you mean by "client"? I am using KSP x64 bit, the system runs 64 bit and I obviously got the overhaul 64 bit pack. I have been told that BA is not made to be compatible with overhaul and I don't know if anyone with my same specs has got both EVE and BA working without glitches Yeah I think I'm going to either uninstall BA and try EVE on its own or keep BA and revert to the older stable version of EVE. Will see... By the way, I've got to thank you for a pleasant effect of your cfg tweak. While it did not help with the glitch I'm having, it did however remove the stutter I was getting when I hit the cloud layers during launch. I'm running smooth launches now thanks to you -

No luck with this one... Just out of curiosity, are you using Better Atmospheres aswell? -

Has anyone found a solution to this problem? I am having the same problem with ChemCam. It messes my point of view each time and will only restore once I engage warp drive. Physics warp however does not restore it -
[0.25/0.90] Better Atmospheres [V5 - June 14th, 2014]
Kreu replied to Thesonicgalaxy's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Oh, ok. I'll try using the current EVE release (though it's not intended for 0.24 I think) and will let you know. I guess there is a future BA release intended for use with the eventual 0.24 version of EVE right? -

[0.25/0.90] Better Atmospheres [V5 - June 14th, 2014]
Kreu replied to Thesonicgalaxy's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Oh ok, I misunderstood you. I chose the lower resolution version so that I save RAM space. Squad still need to make improvements on RAM usage and RAM recognition. As for EVE, yes I'm using the overhaul version (current beta) I did try Windows 7 which I purchased from e-bay about two years ago but it turned out to be flawed and would eventually corrupt itself so I reverted to Vista to spare me the heartbreak each time. I know such things are to be expected from e-bay but imho Windows pricing is a bit overrated. Besides, I don't want to be spending my money on an OS just for the sake of it being the latest Thanks anyway! -

Kreu replied to Thesonicgalaxy's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
The funny thing is that actually I am using your pack along with the other downloads suggested in your page and EVE aswell. Also, I'm not using a mac... definitely not a mac... I'm running Windows Vista x64! Edit: as for the resolution, in-game it is set to 1024x768 but my Desktop resolution is at 1680x1050 -
[1.1.2][1-1-2] May 13-2016 EnvironmentalVisualEnhancements
Kreu replied to rbray89's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Vessel view no, I don't get that line... but I do get a similar effect. The clouds disappear at the altitudes I specified and I can make out the craft's shadow on the planet. They do however magically re-appear after descending lower than about 90,000m -

Hi all, I'm using 0.24 on a 64 bit system (got the 64 bit version of KSP). I am noticing a strange feature in the clouds whenever looking at Kerbin from Space, be it at the Space Center or actual Space. I'm posting an image because it's better that way. Has anyone encountered this or knows what I might do to solve this problem? Clouds do not get rendered in these views and I get this line. However, the clouds are visible below 90,000 and above 400,000. In between those altitudes they disappear and instead I get a shadow from the craft I'm flying. -
[1.1.2][1-1-2] May 13-2016 EnvironmentalVisualEnhancements
Kreu replied to rbray89's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
I have given the overhaul pack a try. Firstly, I'm using the 64 bit version since I run a 64 bit machine. I have noticed some glitches which I'd like to sort out. I know that this pack is still being developed in order to be properly compatible with 0.24 but it appears some of us are reaping some benefits nevertheless. One thing I've noticed is the apparent light even when it's dark. I tweaked the Atmosphere file to 0.05 as another post said. It cures the light problem but still leaves more to desire. Something that I also notice is that in map view and when out in space, the clouds are not rendered. Instead, I get just a horizontal line of clouds showing. Not sure if anyone experienced this before, I couldn't find anything related to this. Also, while in orbit around Kerbin, I somehow get shadows from the craft getting cast over half the hemisphere facing me. I've made some missions to the Mun and although I did see clouds on Kerbin rendered from the Mun's surface, as soon as I reach about 400,000m of altitude down to around 90,000 all clouds fade away and I can see the distinct shadow of the craft. They do pop back up once I get lower. Also, from the Mun, I could notice that the clouds on the dark side of Kerbin get rendered at a lighter shade, which means that they are still visible as they appear less dark than Kerbin. Now for the atmosphere related mods that I use, here's the list: Better Atmospheres Texture Replacer (from BA link) Custom Asteroids (from BA link) Kittopia (from BA link) Distant Object Enhancement (from BA link) Active Texture Management Deadly Re-Entry I installed these and the overhaul pack about 3/4 weeks ago when I moved to 0.24. I did not carry any savegames with me and decided to start afresh so there's definitely no save-game issues going on. Anyone got any tips for me to resolve this issue? It is annoying, even though still playable but I'd like to get this sorted out. Anyone having the same issue maybe? Here is what I'm talking about -
[1.1.2] Station Science (v2.0: New models by SpeedyB)
Kreu replied to ethernet's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Many Thanks. I'll give it a try and will let you know -
I somehow got it working. However, as someone else posted, Fantoma, Kethos, Blalo and Camna have suspicious textures in variations between red and white

That's the problem... I did download planet factory CE but no dll file is present in the whole list. Do you have the exact link? I downloaded using this link: https://github.com/Kragrathea/PlanetFactory/tree/PlanetFactoryCE which is derived from this link posted in the curseforge post: http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/65401-WIP-PlanetFactory-CE

[1.1.2] Station Science (v2.0: New models by SpeedyB)
Kreu replied to ethernet's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Does anyone know what I have to do to get the parts functioning? I'm running KSP 0.23 on a x64 system and the OP says that the readme should contain all the information I need to make the mod backwards compatible... but the readme file isn't that much helpful as it only says to use the oldparts zip. -

I'm going to give this mod yet another trial. I did do as you instructed but failed multiple times. So I have some queries because I suspect it is the way I set up KSP to run on my PC. Firstly, I run several mods (in a separate copy of KSP - kept the original clean just in case) and I'm having my own issues with those mods trying to make them work in harmony. Anyways, my query is, if I somehow manage to get KU to work will it break my savegame if I try to use with that? Will it require a fresh career? I assume it won't have problems running along with the other mods. Also, is PlanetFactory supposed to have any dll file at all to work? Because the CE version has no dll file whatsoever. Also, what version of module manager does it require to function properly? I had a problem with v2.2.0 which loaded up a dioalog asking to dump database or load database whenever the KU & planet factory files were present. And finally, although I've had repeated failures in whatever version of KSP I use (clean is 0.24 but I kept my modded version to 0.23) I would really like to keep using the 0.23 version as most of the mods I'm using are only stable with that version. I do have updates and fixes for 0.24 for some of the mods but not all, so 0.24 will have to wait for me. Anyway, is KU2 compatible with 0.23? (note that I also have downloaded KU version 1 - hard to find but it's still out there... and you guessed it, same results no matter what I do)

[0.25] 6S Service Compartment Tubes - "Design smooth!"
Kreu replied to nothke's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Hi, first of all great mod! We needed something like this to make our rockets smoother. Second, I'm having a bit of a problem. It seems that the 1m compartment will always open up by itself while in the VAB aswell as soon as I load up the rocket for launch. The 2m compartment will not open at all in any stage. I've tried as the info says to open the 2m compartment and close the 1m compartment but no result. I don't even get an option upon right clicking the compartments. I use other mods such as KAS and Universal Storage. Is anyone having this same issue? Could you please help me so that I too would start enjoying this mod? Thanks Edit: Ok I found out what the problem was. I had recently installed the MKS mod which uses Firespitter too (not sure if I have any other mod using Firespitter aswell - but I got a nice list of them anyway). I replaced the Firespitter.dll with the one that came with the 6s mod. The irony is that the 6s mod Firespitter is older than the one I had... so it seems there's a limit to how updated Firespsitter can be for this mod to work!
