  1. I agree 100% on the ability to grab, remove, and attach parts as in KAS. I use KAS and Engineer, and probably would have stopped playing by now if they weren't available. My suggestion is this - I created a rover for a rescue mission on the Mun, and it worked so well I now have 7 on the Mun and one on Minmus, as well as 2 on Duna. They are all very stable, practical, and versatile. I wish the devs would show some love for rovers. More and better rover parts are needed!, including methods of attaching to rockets!
  2. The answers above regarding EVAEjectionFix are correct. This is a bug that I experienced the other day. My kerbal was on EVA and every time I had him grab the ladder to get back inside the capsule, he went flying backwards and away from the ship. He was 3/4 through his fuel by the time I was able to finally get him back inside. It was about 15 minutes of pure frustration. Give the fix mentioned above, and also attaching more ladders can help.
  3. Installed both, but unfortunately I'm not having much luck with Burn Together or EVA Followers. I have Burn Together on two rovers on Duna. When the leader first starts moving, the follower follows for a about 15 seconds, then suddenly wants to start driving in reverse, in circles. Sometimes it will follow the lead vehicle from a distance, sometimes backwards, then decides to stop. It does exactly the same thing every time. I thought it might be the fact that the rovers have probes for remote control, which are installed vertically, but I clicked activated "control from here" on the kerbal and still the same problem. EVA Followers just doesn't work at all. I get the menu item to click on, but it does nothing. It hasn't been a good day for my poor Kerbals.
  4. For anyone who likes driving rovers as much as I do, you'll almost definitely come across this problem at some time or another. Here's my solution, which has saved countless Kerbals for me: 1. After a kerbal becomes non-responsive, stand another kerbal next to him, then ALT-TAB out of the game. 2. Go to your Saves folder and back up your Quicksave file by renaming it to whatever you want (VERY IMPORTANT!!). 3. Go back into the game and press F5 to create a new Quicksave file. 4. ALT-TAB out of the game again. 5. Open your new Quicksave file in any text editor and find the affected kerbal in it. 6. Open a SECOND instance of the Quicksave file and have them both on your screen side-by-side. 7. In the second Quicksave file, find the "good" kerbal that you stood next to the non-responsive one. 8. Now compare the two Kerbals in the files and you will see what is making the kerbal non-responsive. 9. Edit those lines to match the responsive one. 10. Save ONLY the edited Quicksave file. 11. Go back into the game and hold F9 to load your file. If you've done it right your kerbal will come to life! If not, you can try again and again without having to load and re-load the game every time. As long as you have a good backup of your original Quicksave file you can always revert back and create a new file to edit, and if you don't succeed you've lost nothing. Note: Saving this file with Notepad will default to saving as a .txt file and it won't load. Use "Save As" and make sure that when it lists files in the folder, the extension drop-down list is set to "All Files", and not ".TXT", and add the ".SFS" extension. I hope this help someone. There's nothing worse than a bug costing a Kerbal's life.
  5. I wasn't even aware of the EVA Followers mod, thanks! Yet another one I'll be adding soon. It would be cool to have about 20 kerbals flying around together though. I'm sure someone will come out with that mod eventually.
  6. Thank you for including rovers! This is exactly what I needed. I enjoy driving on the Mun and Minmus more than flying, and currently have 9 rovers on the Mun. Now I can finally move them all to my new base! Any chance that this will work with Kerbals in the future? That would be great if so!
  7. I had exactly this problem but unfortunately I can't remember exactly how I fixed it. I will try to remember and post here if I do, but I think it was something like this: Try launching another vehicle to dock to the space station. Then once docked, it may fix whatever is causing the issue. Go back to the space center and try to select it. If it doesn't work, then try to shut down the game and re-start it, then try again.
  8. This is my rover which has been extremely successful for me. I've earned about 5000 science points driving from biome to biome with it.
