  1. I have often wondered if an approximation of a halo orbit can be achieved via SOI hoping. For example a L1 orbit is technically still possible in KSP although would need many small course corrections throughout a single orbit (Wouldnt be a fun expeirence). For all the others L2-L5 I believe they are unusable due to the SOI approximation.
  2. As described in the title. Having difficulties finding out how to achieve the camera movement seen in videos. Help greatly appriciated
  3. Just to put out an interesting point. There are also displaced orbits that do not require input from the spacecraft itself such as Sun Synchronous orbits around Earth. However with the simplifed physics of KSP the subtle effects that can affect real satellites and cause interesting non-standard orbits are missed. KSP simply wasn't designed for such complex orbital dynamics as they had no idea the community would progress this far!
  4. As a PhD student working on space systems I have to agree that the contamination from a non russian launch sounds much more likely. French Guiana or the US, dragon does sound suspiciously likely. Has Dragon ever docked to the russian segment?
  5. Read a really good book on space tethers, definately worth a read if you have access to it. Space Tethers and Space elevators, Van Pelt, 2009 Fortunately for me I have access you a university library as I'm currently studying for a PhD on space systems.
