If you didn't have a back up of 1.0.5, then there's no way to revert...I think. I have been experiencing the editor crash bug but it doesn't kill all playability for me. It's really infrequent, at least for me.
-
Ah. I just started a practically unmodded install (which didn't have EVE) , and it crashed after about an hour of playing. Maybe it's Hyperedit, as it technically isn't updated to 1.1.2.
-
This should probably in Add-On discussions...but cool! I thank them too. Edit: Proud poster of the only post to survive the Great Snark Pruning of 2016.

More attempts to make an SSTO. My new one flew up to about 3 km before it couldn't keep pitching up. It splashed down in the ocean.

Just out of curiosity and possibly to try to fix my own game, which mod was it?

Just made this thread to inform people that the devs are back from vacation, in case you don't know. I read it in a dev post in the "Sandbox Career" thread, and don't know how to quote from there on mobile, so check if you want

I've been playing in 1.1 and all my old plane designs work fine, with no trouble on the landing gears. Perhaps it is because I always seem to use ridiculously oversized gears. Haven't we all been over this? Squad got my $23, took it, and made a great game out of it. Seriously, I'm tired of people complaining about Squad being greedy. If you think the game is broken, ask for a refund. If the game is seriously that bad, whoever sold it will most likely give you one. But KSP isn't that bad. So stop complaining about Squad, they made a great game and a good update. Stop saying that you won't play KSP because of the wheels. You guys are saying you will play Space Engineers, which is a game about space. If you like space, why not go to space in KSP in a ship that doesn't have the wheels? If planes are broken (which they're not, at least for me) then build a ship. Because you can't build a plane in Space Engineers (you technically can, but the game doesn't really simulate wings in any way).[/rant]

I did the aforementioned research. Here's to you, @awfulhumanbeing. Edit: If the EVA pictures don't show up, check the album.

What building has killed more kerbals than any other?
teag2 replied to spacebrick3's topic in KSP1 Discussion
Oh, and those landing lights too. Damn them. A lot of times I'll hit them while landing, too. In that case, the cockpit and maybe a fuel tank will survive. Although, if it still has a landing leg, I will often turn it in to a unisicle and keep it upright with the pod reaction wheel. In this case, the kerbal (s) is/are not killed. -

Probably the Launch Pad. When the ship explodes on takeoff, oftentimes the capsule falls on to the launch pad and explodes. -
Welp, long story short: I broke KSP. What happened is this: Last night, I was messing around in Sandbox, and decided to make a Gilly probe. After the probe landed, I got bored and Hyperedited (I'm proposing for that to be added to the dictionary) the probe to low Jool orbit. I de-orbited it and watched it buuuurn. It survived the entry and proceded to fall through the atmosphere. It went through the "surface" and I watched, excited for it to explode. Well, guess what? It didn't explode. I'll repeat that: This probe went well under Jool's surface, and did not explode. At first, I was confused: As the altimeter passed 500 meters, I though it was going up. Nope; vertical speed was at -70. So, I thought that I'd just wait. Unfortunately, it did not actually stop, because neither the gravitational force nor the atmospheric pressure seemed to be increasing. I waited a while, then decided to look for an atmospheric pressure display on KER. I couldn't find one, but I did notice the situation display: Landed. So, I was apparently landed on Jool while still moving at about 70 meters per second. I realized that that meant I could probably get the hidden Jool SCIENCE! I checked to see if there were any instruments on the probe, but there were none. I then realized that I had Vesselmover installed, and tried to see if I could spawn a ship. It let me, but unfortunately it got stuck at "Spawning vessel..." so it didn't work. Out of curiosity, I pressed "move vessel" , but that did nothing. I decided to go back to the space center. I couldn't though, because I was "moving over the surface" and it couldn't save. I tried Hyperedit's velocity changer, but that reported that the position would be under the surface. Thanks, Hyperedit. I then realized that if I hacked gravity, the atmosphere would quickly slow me down and stop me. I did that, but then the ship actually started to float up. That is one dense atmosphere. I tinkered with Hack Gravity until I came to nearly a stop, then went back to the space center. I decided to send another vessel in to the atmosphere, so I whipped up a ship with all the science and flew it in to Jool. I was ready to do the science when it exploded at -250m like usual. I was extremely confused at this point, so I went back to the space center and in to the tracking station. But then, not only were the probe still there, but the two ships I had tried to spawn earlier with Vesselmover were there, too. I took control of one and tried to do a crew report. The game said that it needed crew to do that. There was no crew display in the bottom, but clicking on the hatch showed a Kerbal in there. I clicked EVA, and then the Hell Kraken struck (the game blackscreened and the GUI instruments broke) I then clicked "Space Center" and the game crashed. I figured that was enough and went to sleep. Will research this more today!

Adding Multiplayer...
-
Hm. My best computer only has 16 gigabytes. I can run the game just fine, but the stability didn't increase at all compared to my other computer- it almost seemed worse.
-
Daaang. How much RAM does your computer have?
-
What is the death rate of your favorite, or most played save? By that I mean, how many of your Kerbals are dead out of how many you've had. I have had 13 kerbals (original 4, 3 rescued, and 5 hired) and 3 of them dead (rip Kerbin Kerman ). This means I have a death rate of 23%. So what is your death rate? Hope it's not as big as mine.

I wanna see somebody try to print a craft with tons of part clipping, floating parts using the offset tool, engines pointing inside fuel tanks, and possibly modded parts.
-
I made by first Minmus base, and my first proper ISRU base in general. Ore concentration is terrible, but who cares?
-
Here's a cool shot of my first Minmus base.
-
That actually makes a lot of sense. The whole moon could have been covered in some sort of ocean, which eventually froze. All the mountains used to be islands in the oceans. Also, due to the total lack of craters on Minmus, it must either have some way of refreshing it's surface, or it is just very young.

Is it true that most KSP players never go interplanetary?
teag2 replied to KerikBalm's topic in KSP1 Discussion
After my first few times sending interplanetary ships manually, I just use MechJeb for all of them now. It gets kinda boring sending them repeatedly As for the people talking about docking: My latest interplanetary ship was a giant nuclear tug with a 2 kerbal Duna lander that had all the science, and it didn't use any docking. In fact, I have explored Eve, Duna, and Jool and haven't done any docking. I have docked before, but it's much easier and more practical to just send it all up in one launch -
Good Designs for Base Assembly Rovers?
teag2 replied to otblock's topic in KSP1 The Spacecraft Exchange
I'm not sure, but wheels are know to be buggy in the latest version. If it looks reasonable and doesn't work, chances are they are just glitching. -
Wrong! It's made from sugar and spices. ...or mint ice cream

What was the hardest thing you've done in KSP?
teag2 replied to RandomUser's topic in KSP1 Discussion
Heh, that's kinda funny. The probe I was using I had also just flown to Duna. Needless to say, that mission went better than the Eve mission. -

teag2 replied to RandomUser's topic in KSP1 Discussion
Oh yeah, and don't forget my first Eve mission. Tried to aerocapture without a heatshield. Lost a transmitter and an RCS port to stuipidity. I did a 30+ minute (thank physwarp, it was only 10 mins real time) capture burn with my 2 remaining RCS ports, and ended up landing it in the end. (It still had a good portion of monopropellent left... I wonder to this day how much RCS dV it had...) -

teag2 replied to RandomUser's topic in KSP1 Discussion
Probably my one and only Jool mission. 3 crew, no aerobreaking, extremely tiny dV margins, low-tech parts, no RTG, tiny solar panels and limited battery capacity. Great fun!
