  1. Seems to be a problem every one who runs 64bit has. I would like to go on record as saying: I never had any issues with playing the 64bit version stock, the only problems I had with it were when I introduced mods that weren't agreeing. If I god a mod and the game crashed, I could just remove that mod and carry on crash free. Many mods however DID work with the win64 version.

  2. Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit

    8GB DDR3 RAM

    Nvidia GTX470 1280 GPU

AMD Phenom II CPU ~3.1GHz 6 core

I've turned all graphics settings all the way down and I'm still having this issue with the 32bit version of KSP, I can't use the 64bit version because of some of the mods I use- I've read various tips on this, does any one have tips specialized for the machine that I'm running to help make things smoother? The issue is when playing, every 5-20 seconds I get frame hiccups and it's becoming an extreme annoyance.

EDIT- I'm doing some testing with an unmodded installation under the x64 bit version, and with a large rocket and medium graphics settings the game is ultra smooth. More testing is required. I will begin by slowly introducing mods that won't break the 64bit version.. maybe it's mods that are making me chug?

  3. From what I can observe, the more mods I stack, the fewer frames I can expect to see. And I can forget about using 64bit KSP with most mods as the game will crash- a lot. While 64bit KSP runs more smoothly on my machine, I'm guessing the mods that aren't compatible with 64bit instructions are causing issues. Are these fair observations? My specs are as follows: Win7 64bit, 6core AMD processor @3GHz, 8GB DDR3 ram, and a GTX 470 1280 GDDR5

  4. But.. I like my designs- COM COL be damned, as long as it flies. THOUGH DocMoriarty I downloaded your PDF- and I'm very impressed with how in depth and detailed it is, you are definitely a service to the community. Though.... I really do enjoy building planes that have aesthetic qualities that I enjoy, and attempt to build the flight characteristics around that.

  5. TYRT, montyben101, bigdad84,

If I could, I would release a ModuleManager patch to make these work for all of you, but you can fix them yourselves. Follow sirkut's instructions here.

I realize that post is buried, but sirkut links to it from the first post in the IR thread and johnwayne1930 linked to not even 10 posts back. In other words, please remember to read the first post of each thread and a few pages back.

I've tested all the parts and those edits still work for with IR 0.18.4, but none of us can release the patched part configs without nothke's permission.

I've tried that, but the parts aren't showing in the R&D still

  6. OH my gosh! This is probably one of the most useful mods I've seen, especially for any one who uses different mods. Thank you so much for releasing this!!! ALSO- if any one could do a small icon with a shuttle's image or something else I could use for KSO (Kerbal Shuttle Orbiter) that would be great.

  7. Your output_log.txt would be helpful. When exactly does it freeze? Immediately upon entering flight?
It's pretty random.. sometimes it would freeze when entering game (the KSC complex when loading career/sandbox) , sometimes when I tried to load a craft, and sometimes when going to the launch pad, always on the transitional screen. I'll PM you the full text
  8. I don't like the way transmitting data is handled, I understand that if you're trying to transmit data through a soil sample the reward would be degraded, but I don't know why telemetry and temperature should be degraded through data transmission, it's just numbers... I don't really see a point to transmitting data, its better just to return the mission to Kerbin any ways.

  9. It was released yesterday, so it's new for everyone. Would you like to write one?

yes it was released yesterday- But no it's not new for every one, the experimental builds have been floating around for a while and the developers have had their hands on it. It would be nice to have a- you know.. manual, many games have this nifty thing and it really helps answer questions people may have about how the game works.
