I was searching for forums using python plug in forums and it took me here, is this a wrong place to be?

Hey guys, only a quick question. I want to develop a plugin which saves 3 elements from a web page: The URL, the Name of the company and an email address/telephone number and exports that into a CRM system we're building. So ultimately, it saves the data and creates a new company page with that data, if the data matches data in the database then it says already exists unless the data saved from the webpage is newer. I'm in the process of learning Python and I really like the language! Though I'm not sure of it's potentials and capabilities, could I do all of the above using Python (and PHP)? Any help is much appreciated -Trey
