Well I successfully dispatched my payload once I connected with a stack separator. There was enough momentum produced from the separation that I didn't need to use RCS, it just bounced against the other side of the cargo bay floated out.I switched to it using the [ key, activated the engine and put it into a 4.5 hour resonant orbit. Now I have my communications relay and am ready to launch more probes! Thanks everyone.- 4,460 replies

A little help here would be hot I'm trying to do what I thought would be simple, launch multiple sattelites in orbit using cargo bays. I build a sweet ship with three B9 cargo bays and my relay satellites. I launch into KEO and open one of the bays. Well, it just sits there. I was expecting that it would begin to drift into space, become it's own craft and I would switch to it. Nope, it just is stuck in there. What am I doing wrong?' Hi folks -- I'm having trouble with my frames per second. I'm getting at best in the 5-10 FPS range. Once I put a few mods on I get max 5 FPS to the point where the game is unplayable. I've turned down the settings to absolute minimum, installed ATM and the 60FPS cfg file. They've helped somewhat but I can't get hire than 10FPS. MAYBE 15 every once in a while. My time is always yellow and running at 33% physics time. My computer is an older gen i7 with an HD Radeon 6370M with 4gb RAM (laptop) So two questions, is there anything more I can do to increase my FPS and performance in general? Or should I just get a new computer? If so, what specs? I'm thinking of a new gen i core with an Nvidia graphics card and 8 or 16 gigs of RAM. Please any help is appreciated. I've been addicted to Kerbal lately and I realize I could run unmodded and get barely tolerable performance, there are so many great mods I'd like to run a dozen or so. I've seen people with 70 plus so I know it's possible.

Yeah it's not possible even with burn together. BT is more for having two or more crafts in a formation of sorts rather than two ships in completely different things. Please remove me post. Thank you !

To be honest I don't know. You are right I didn't the guide before posting the challenge. So I was more thinking of a cool think I'd like to see done that I'm not good enough to do on my own. And then see what really creative thjngs people come up with. So sorry if this is out of pocket.

Greetings fellow Kerbal enthusiasts! I have a challenge for y'all! Here are the parameters: Two ships. Ship A must be a plane of some sort which does NOT have the ability to achieve orbit. Must use air breathing engines. Ship B is a standard, orbit capable craft with no constraints. The challenge is in the maneuver. Fly ship A to is maximum altitude for it's air breathing engine. Aerobrake ship b, rendezvous with ship A and grab it somehow and bring it back into orbit with you. Construct some sort of SKYHOOK to grab Ship A while Ship B is on its aerobraking maneuver and bring both ships into orbit around Kerbin. Ideas! Purely structural type Skyhook: use some sort of strut and girder contraption as a physical hook and use your orbital momentum to get both ships into orbit. Electromagnet Skyhook: Use KAS' electromagnet to grab the airplane and bring boths ships into orbit. Other KAS parts The AGU. Use the grappling arm to secure ship A. An actual docking port. This would epic. I'll award NO-Prizes for anyone who can successfully pull this maneuver off and provide evidence that the mission was accomplished. Extra NoPriziness for creativity. Good Luck! Hello all- I was wondering about the feasibility for inflatables, specifically for high speed landings for probes and landers. I believe this is how pathfinder was delivered to Mars. It allows for a much cheaper and lighter vessel, without having to spend the fuel to brake and slow down to land. Anyway, I don't know the ins and outs of modding and I know somethings are possible and others aren't. Anyone think this is doable and/or valuable? Thanks
