  1. Here's the thing, I've had a lovely stable version of KSP for ages, and haven't had any trouble. I haven't played in a while and the latest patch seems to have caused some issues, nothing major so far as I can see, but I can't see any engines in the VAB other than some Jets. Here's the mod list from CKAN (Semi)Saturatable Reaction Wheels (SemiSaturatableRW 1.12.1) Advanced Jet Engine (AdvancedJetEngine v2.11.3) B9 Aerospace Procedural Wings - Fork (B9-PWings-Fork 1:v0.50) Background Resources (BackgroundResources v0.13.9.0) Click Through Blocker (ClickThroughBlocker 0.1.6.2) Community Resource Pack (CommunityResourcePack 0.10.0.0) Connected Living Space (ConnectedLivingSpace 1.2.6.1) Deadly Reentry Continued (DeadlyReentry v7.6.2) Ferram Aerospace Research (FerramAerospaceResearch 3:0.15.9.1) HangerExtender (HangerExtenderExtended 3.5.3.1) Kerbal Engineer Redux (KerbalEngineerRedux 1.1.4.10) Kerbal Joint Reinforcement (KerbalJointReinforcement v3.3.3) Kopernicus Planetary System Modifier (Kopernicus 2:release-1.4.3-1) KSC Switcher (KSCSwitcher 0.8) KSP AVC (KSP-AVC 1.2.0.1) MechJeb 2 (MechJeb2 2.7.3.0) MechJeb and Engineer for all! (MechJebForAll 1.2.0.0) ModularFlightIntegrator (ModularFlightIntegrator 1.2.5.0) Module Manager (ModuleManager 3.0.6) PersistentRotation (PersistentRotation 1.8.5) Procedural Fairings (ProceduralFairings v4.0) Procedural Parts (ProceduralParts v1.3.14-1) RCS Build Aid Continued (RCSBuildAidCont 0.9.6.3) Real Fuels (RealFuels rf-v12.5.0) Real Plume (RealPlume 2:v11.0.0) Real Solar System (RealSolarSystem v13.1.0) Real Solar System Textures - 8192 x 4096 (RSSTextures8192 v13.1) RealChute Parachute Systems (RealChute v1.4.6) RealEngines (RealEngines v1.8) RealHeat (RealHeat v4.5) Realism Overhaul (RealismOverhaul v12.0.0) Realism Overhaul Craft Files (RealismOverhaulCraftFiles v12.0.0) RemoteTech (RemoteTech v1.8.10.3) RSS DateTime Formatter (RSSDateTimeFormatter 1.2.0.0) SmokeScreen - Extended FX Plugin (SmokeScreen 2.8.0.0) Solver Engines plugin (SolverEngines v3.6.1) TAC Life Support (TACLS) (TACLS v0.13.9.0) TextureReplacerReplaced (TextureReplacerReplaced V0.5.4) Toolbar (Toolbar 1.7.17.11) Toolbar Controller (ToolbarController 1:0.1.6.5) Ven's Stock Part Revamp (VenStockRevamp v1.9.6) Can anyone see where the engines have gone?
  2. My sins (thus far) are: 1) I don't often use Kerbals, most of my missions are unmanned and designed for SCIENCE! I have started mapping Kerbin, Mun and Minmus with Satellites and I have got a little way into creating an effective Kerbin GPS network (a few rover missions are in preliminary phases of testing). 2) I use MechJeb for everything (except landings) and I justify it to myself thusly: this is how it is done by less successful agencies like NASA! 3) Up until my current save, I have never returned to a previous one.
  3. Yeah, I suppose I could do that. I'd like to be able to orientate the vessel, so inclination and heading mostly, and then select when to execute this maneuver. and then a separate control to initialise a burn. What I am in a sense wanting to do is create a controller to allow me to have more control over MechJeb's autopilot. it would be steering Manually, but with all of the precision afforded by MechJeb. One other thing, would you be able to set a traget from this said magical controller? I appreciate there is no way to selct this from a drop down list in game so you will have to take the list of bodies from a user created table. Ultimately this will lead to being able to use the rendezvous planner to calculate values for input above. Or would you have to create a standalone trajectory calculator?
  4. Is it possible to send data items back to MechJeb via Telemachus? For example could you create a physical control panel to program the attributes of a maneuver, whilst displaying current values for said attributes, and then use it to execute that maneuver when desired. Not sure this will make sense to anyone but me, I'm very tired at the time of writing.
  5. I've only been playing KSP for a short while now, but I must say, its one hell of a game. Greatest game ever, no, not yet at least. I have always been a fan of games which reward the thinker, my highest game hours yet are on Silent Hunter 3 GWX and that's a hell of a game too, but neither will be the greatest game ever. The title of the greatest game ever has to go to something earth-shatteringly life changing, like COD! ...or any of the other 1 million iterations of similarly formatted, khaki-cladded banalities. Those are the games generations will talk about in the future, just as the classics of our generation are revered now, so will these titles. What really matters is whether 'you' think its the greatest game ever, because thats all that really matters in the end.
  6. Hi everyone, I'm fairly new to KSP, I've played around with vanilla for a while now and wanted to try and see how much better I could do after adding some mods, soI thought I'd get out into the community and see whats going on! After lurking around for a while, I can't wait to jump in, seems like a good bunch! I am excited to see what mods are worth getting, and if anyone knows of any easy ways of managing them, so please say hello and offer any advice you have. Thanks Guys and Gals.
