  1. Thanks for the quick response! I'll go and give it a download and look at it, I'll try to not crash into earth, rather... use the surface to rapidly decelerate :3

Oh, and, is the download on Kerbal Stuff the most recent? or is there another one hidden somewhere on this thread?

  2. I'd like to just use the textures really then, I know that I could just use Space Engine to find a good one, but I like the texture you use, and the Krakens eye would be interesting especially since I want to make a rouge gas giant that got knocked off from somewhere in deep space and then got captured by Kerbol. I know it wouldn't be realistic because a real gas giant would cause chaos in the system and fling planets around, but eh, its Kerbal Space Program, they can land survive a fall from orbit by landing on their helmet, so screw reality

  3. CaptRobau:

I'm having the exact same problem with Mekan1k, I have photo documents and a log:

    Okay, I'm back!

Photographic evidence. Can someone help us? It seems to be only happening with OPM installed, if I remove it, all fine, put it in with KT or another bundled .dll's, no OPM planets... it urks me... because I could actually get OPM and other planet packs to work, back in, I think it was 1.4 OPM with KT

(Directly copied from over in the KopernicusTech thread... apparently this version of OPM is incompatible with the current version of KT)

  5. I just want to let you know DMagic, This mod is a MUST for any version that I've played, ever since I found it back in .24. It has also inspired me to make my own mod (of which I am still learning Blender and how to make the models and that fun stuff). I want my mod to be completely based around Probes and probe science, having all of the science giving a full data return value, eliminating the need to return your Ion powered space probe from the lonely space potato (Dres).

At first I'm going to have simple static model parts, with no animations. They will be in the first release, as well as being "primitive" and have low science values. These will include, but not be limited to: Camera (and if I can make them work with RPM that would awesome), Compass (might get an animation later to point a small needle to magnetic north), and maybe some kind of photo-plate that captures particles (like your solar partical collector, but not the exact same... I wanna try to stray away from copying things, but I do have my own idea for some kind of magntometer :P)

Later thing will include things like Multi Spectral Cameras, and if I can figure out how to make it work, have them show IR, X-Ray, Visible Light photos of Kerbol, based on where you take the picture from (again, if I can figure out how. It would be cool to see little sunspots or maybe even Moho flying infront)

  6. any update .3. I wanna play with these, I recently completed a save, unlocked all of the tech nodes... and hadn't even left the Kerbin side... so, I'm doing it with a 60% science and the Mod Oriented Tech Tree mod. I had a hard enough time getting basic rocketry TT.n.TT but now that I have it I'm going to TRY to put something on a different body... I DID get something into orbit, atleast I did that TwT

    EDIT:

And whats the Mt. Keverist Challenge .3.?

  7. mkai, so I've unlocked most of the tech tree (I need like... 6-7k more science to be absolutely sure, and I've stayed inside the Kerbin system xpx). I'm going to get a REALLY BIG ROCKET and burn at Sprinkle. I suspect 1 of 3 things to happen:

    1) Sprinkle goes poof because REALLY BIG ROCKET

    2) REALLY BIG ROCKET goes poof because indestructable bodies in KSP

    3) Pudding Kraken is hungry, eats REALLY BIT ROCKET and Sprinkle

Await an update on what happens! (goes off to make said rocket)

  8. Com'n to tell you my mission failure...

Misson: Put SCANsat scanner into polar orbit around Mun

Details: Attempt to get low resolution scanner into a polar orbit of roughly 250k. Get low res scans of Mun Surface and plan next landing.

Mission Update: F--k the Mun, go for Sprinkle

What happened: Waisted nearly 3000dv to get an encounter with the little piece of *** moon. Had an encounter... it happened so fast that while I was out of window I didn't even realize that I flew through the SOI.... spend about 2000 of the mentioned 3000dv trying to burn strait down to Sprinkle, gave up, used Hyper Edit to put me into a 1000m orbit around it because apparently 10000 is out of its SOI... Burnt strait down (like a baws) almost missed it, realized I was going to turn into a chocolate chip on the minty surface, burned away, missed the planet, and began a struggle with its tiny size and high gravity to try and get myself on the surface. Ended up smashing my probe down due to the gravity (and because I wasn't expecting my ship to fall so fast xpx). My probe broke, leaving it with a battery, reaction wheal, and the Probodobodyne square core thingy (wow I should know that... I'm doing this mission as Probodobodyne Incorperated, so no manned missions unless nessesary). spend a few more minutes fking around, spinning the probe until it ran out of power, used the backup power in the probe core to change its name to "We landed on Sprinkle! Now to do it again, with SCIENCE!" I am now in the process of developing (researching in the tech tree and looking for mods) the technology for really high efficiency engines with good TWR that will allow me to go to Sprinkle, land, and mmmaaaayyyybee return to kerbin... or just be food for the Pudding Kraken

  9. So, I totally Derp, whats the Centrifuge gunna do? It looks cool~ Makes me think of all the little probes I smash into the surface of a planet have a problem landing, leaving them with no engine and end up making them spin really really really really really [repeat seven times] fast, bounce across the surface until it has a catostrphic failure, worse that the engine blowing up, resulting in all the tiny pieces of the probe going flying off in every direction, raining down on the surface like sharp, deadly confetti! Someone needs to make a nigh indistrutible probe part that contains the science within it... that way people like me can bounce their probes everywhere until it runs out of juice...

As soon as I learn Blender and how to export the model so KSP likes it, I'll make myself a probe capable of being dropped from 20k above Duna's surface, and be able to smack into the surface like Jebidia Kermin land on the surface with nothing to slow itself down, then roll around into the different biomes and collect some science, then transmit it back before going kapoot!

  10. SystemHeat is Nertea's upcoming mod that is currently bundled with the dev version of Near Future Electrical. My understanding is that it's still in testing and likely will change when KSP 1.0 is released. I'm just starting to learn how it works and integrate DSEV's radiators and the Supernova, so I can't offer much help. I definitely have questions myself. :)

ah! thanks man! I'm not quite ready to risk the dev version... so I'll just keep my modified KSPI for now!

  11. hits the Helix with a shovel, smashing it shell

as a result of the krakens being killed, the dead Krakon on Bop comes back to life, seeking revenge for its dead children, dragging the tiny moon behind it, heading strait for the next poster
