I've noticed that if you use the new gizmos to rotate something and then you un-place a part and put it back, it screws up the rotation.

I wasn't trying to go to space, but I didn't quite make it to the survey site either.

Although my probe did go to space, I'd given it some extended landing struts to get the engine back in one piece. didn't work

I like the weird contracts, they can be challenging and it's a new way to play the game. I'm currently building a probe to toss a big ol' LFB out of Kerbin's orbit (while recovering the expensive boost stages I need to get it up there).
