  1. Am I just overlooking something, or is there no 1.75m to 2 meter adapter? That\'s a pretty serious issue.
  2. No, I can\'t, which is why the Metric system is better.
  3. So how does 12 inches to a foot, 5280 ft to a mile, 16 oz to a pound, etc, makes more sense then 1,000 grams to a kilogram, 1,000 mm to a meter, etc, as in the metric system? The values in the imperial system are pretty much just arbitrary, whereas the values represented by base metric units represent scientific and relevant values, such as how one mL is a cubic centimeter, and how 1 mL of water is equal to 1 gram, etc. Anyway, this is getting pretty off topic. So what do you guys think about the whole shadow thing? I think it\'s pretty great that we\'re getting darker shadows for stuff in space, now, instead of the cheap, unpleasant looking light shader we have now. The crescent effect from seeing part of a round body in shadow from the sun is something that I feel has been missing from the game for a while.
  4. No 2m parts made by sunday punch will go better with the other parts already made by sunday punch You could at least make some alternatives to the medium bertha 2m engine That thing is a massive POS
  5. It seems that the nodes on the 3m to 5x 1m adapter shroud aren't perfectly symmetrical; I made a 5 engine M-50 cluster for the first stage of my Saturn V replica, and at lift off the rocket tends to lean backwards, a lot. The backward-leaning effect gets stronger the more throttle is used, and the more powerful the engine is, so one of the outer nodes it either too close to the center or too far away from it, is what my hypothesis is. Even using an RCS module, the tilt force is too strong to counteract over 50% throttle using the 5 engine M-50 cluster. The same effect does not happen when using the 4x cluster engine, or a single engine.
  6. Oh, how nice. Do want Also, are you going to ever make 2m parts and 3m decoupler shrouds or will I have to learn how to mod/model and do it myself?
  7. Hey Sunday Punch, could you make decoupler shrouds for the 3m parts? You'd only have to make one size since there's only one three meter engine (The 4x liquid). Also, one thing that I would really love to see are 2m parts; So we can have a setup like the J2s on a Saturn V. And maybe a normal 1m fuel tank that has the same sort of texture as the decoupler shrouds, for extra visual continuity. Like what you did with the extra normal decoupler. Great mod, by the way.
  8. Best I've done is an 11 hour orbit mission, at somewhere around 40 orbits. Apogee was about 65 km, and Perigee was about 60 km... pretty stable, all in all. I left it running overnight and came back to find it in perfect condition. I waited for the KSC to appear on the horizon, then did my de-orbit burn with the half tank of fuel I had left.... Ended up landing less then 2 km away from the launch pad. All in all, success. As someone else in this thread mentioned, deceleration at perigee and acceleration at apogee will circularize your orbit. That helped. Here's a video of a previous one-orbit mission
