Why does the mk3 not have a proper nose again?
EDIT: HYPE!!
-
When you launch it and the engine sound blows up your stereo

Realistic gravity turns work best for me. For twr of arround 1.2 i wait for 100m/s and then go to ~5 or for twr1.7 at 50m/s and gradually increase that and at about apo of 50km i start going from 45 to 0. This way i use ~4000 dV(I had ~8000 Vacuum dV according to KER and in orbit i was left with ~3200dV)
-
When you lift a 1000 part space station into orbit with one launch with just 1-2 fps
When you use 5 KW Saturn V main engines for you last stage
-
Nice! Too bad he is reentrying with like 10 km/s and has no parachute
-
False.
The person below me will say false

When in a important class you doodle rockets and have a notebook with all the formulas and part stats from ksp wiki so that you can build rockets that work...
-
is that a saturn 5 with wheels?!?! I think that qualifys
Yep, a saturn v with wheels and when not on full thrust it actually controls pretty well
-
Does this qualify as a rover?
EDIT: Duh again the insert image doesn't show the image http://imgur.com/Hn0s9dC

Hmmm, how can i change the thread name? Since this has become something like a thread for all my crafts.
-
Well, i made a shuttle replica, but wasn't happy with it since it would flip out when reentrying without winglets next to the tail, which made it not a replica.
-
Just made some rocket replicas, without using too much parts and making them easy to fly.

Crafts don't have mechjeb cases, so you don't need it installed.

Not perfect replicas in aesthetics, but they are fail-friendly(especially the SaturnV). Feel free to sugest anything

I'm searching for a mod that adds stuff like cables, so that you need to connect a battery with all consumers via cables, having stuff like circuits so that electrics will be a new challenge when building rockets.
-
Well sorry for that, but will know to do it in future
I usually just do something and think after that
-
Just updated the leaderboard. I wasnt though able to get that ~1500 ton thing into orbit and my ksp broke again.
Here's something I did a while ago, unmanned orbiters and landers on each of Jupiter's moons, with lots of gravity assists.Simply Amazing!

Hello, everyone! Im new here, though i've been playing since 0.18. I'm from a unknown place in Europe called Bulgaria. I like many games but favorites are ksp, terraria and minecraft(though it gets boring every 1-2 months). Im not really good at ksp especially because i'm really impatient. My best achievment yet is to land a rover on duna.
-
Pretty much the same as the Jool 5 challenge(http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/57197-The-Ultimate-Jool-5-Challenge-land-Kerbals-on-all-moons-and-return-in-one-big-mission), but this time with Realism overhaul. No im not insane(well problably i am since i havent even got into orbit yet). Whoever does this need to have a title KSP GOD, and money for cleaning the lake of molten plastic in his home since a build for this on 1 launch would problably have a few thousand parts. I'll still be working on this and will post my progress.
Alright, changing it a bit. actually alot. Land on as many moons as you can in one mission.
Rules:No cheating(alt+f12, hyperedit...)
Scoring:Unmanned landing on any of the moons - 5 pts
Manned landing on any of the moons - 15 pts
Returning kerbals after landing on a moon - 10 pts
Going to Jupiter and landing on a moon with a single craft(no docking etc.) - 30 pts
Landing on all 4 moons with 1 mission - 50 pts
Land on all 4 moons and returning kerbals to kerbin safely with 1 craft - 120 pts (hardcore)
EDIT: Docking is allowed if there is a separate lander from the command module(likea apollo)
Leaderboard:
1.metaphor - 190 pts
Here's my progress: Done the Lander and the Transition stage, though i will still have to design the unmanned landers. The launch stage is problably going to be 3-4 times bigger than this. http://imgur.com/vOjsJYT,CGdpTz2#0
