Minimum altitudes for x100, x1000 time warps - why?
ZtheCdr replied to NERVAfan's topic in KSP1 Discussion
You could also just go to the space center, then the tracking station, I suppose it takes more time to get their then easily switching to a flag, but it has a better interafce then a flag, or a ship in high orbit. -
noob's question: how to copy paste?
ZtheCdr replied to JtPB's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
Not exactly sure what you are asking, but I can try and help. So if you are building a space plane, and you want to have the patterns of the control surfaces on both wings be the same, then you should press the "X" key to enable symmetry. If you want to actually copy & paste, then left clicking on the part while holding down the "mod" key will copy that part, and all the daughter parts attached it. Your computers "mod" key depends on what operating system you have. For example, if your operating system is Windows, then your mod key would be the "Alt" key. ~Z -
Sideways Fuel Tanks?
ZtheCdr replied to Ralius18's topic in KSP1 Technical Support (PC, unmodded installs)
As Boomerang said, pressing the "Mod key" will make it so parts can only be attached when their green nodes line up. Your "Mod key" depends one what software you have. For example, if you have windows, then your mod key would be the "Alt" key. -
Erasing strut connectors in VAB
ZtheCdr replied to ROXunreal's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
If you wish to get a strut off that you just placed, then you can do Ctrl+Z (Ctrl+Y undoes the undo command) For a strut that you placed a while ago, and can't use Ctrl+Z, then I think you have to click on the part of the strut that you first placed. For example, if I placed a strut from part A, to part B, then depending on which part I clicked first, that is the one that you have to click on. I am not 100% percent sure of this, so if I am wrong, then sorry. -
A new Easter Egg!
ZtheCdr replied to SmashingKirby148's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
Yeah, definitely that's a stretch. I feel that it is just a coincidence. I would be interested in some of your other easter eggs. -
Strut issues and more in SPH.
ZtheCdr replied to ZooNamedGames's topic in KSP1 Technical Support (PC, unmodded installs)
Wait, so when you place struts, the game automatically replaces them with invisible parts? Is that what you mean? As for your symmetry problem, yeah I have the same thing happening to me. Super annoying! -
I have finally solved it, thanks to you guys! All of you were correct, I did have to re-install the game. Thank you everyone for all you're help! I'm sure everyone agrees that this bug was very weird. (And annoying!)

Wait, in the SPH, that part isn't a probe core apparently, its named "EAS-4 Strut Connecter" which is exactly what I was trying to actually put down. Also, the 3 mods I have are Tweak Scale, Infernal Robotics, and Kerbal Attachment System. Some way I can go into the file, and somehow fix this manually?

Uhg. I had a feeling that was going to happen. Could you please tell me how to do it? Thanks.

So whenever I put a strut down on my ship, it obviously looks like a strut. But, when I try and launch the ship, on the run way the strut looks like a...well let me just show you the pictures. (If I did it right...) In the SPH: On the runway:

How to switch symmetry modes?
ZtheCdr replied to ZtheCdr's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
Ahhhhh yes. That makes perfect sense. Being that you attach stuff radially while in the VAB because you are building vertically. makes sense. Anyways, thanks. Your input will help me a lot! -
So I was in the SPH and I was trying to put wheels on the bottom of my plane refuel station, and whenever I went to put wheels on the front of the refuel station, the symmetry mode was "Mirror". The "Mirror" symmetry mode was the one I wanted, but when I went to put wheels on the back and middle of the plane, the symmetry mode would change to "Radid" (Or at least that is what I think it said...) which was not working for me. So I am wondering if their is a way to manually change this symmetry mode. Thanks. (If anyone would like a picture, I could put one up here)
