  1. KSP version 1.1 OS X 10.11.4 iMac 27" Late 2012 3.4GHz Core i7 32GB DDR3-1600 RAM GeForce GTX 680MX 2GB Sometimes, and I'm not sure what causes it, the maneuver node I create is instantly deleted when I click the mouse afterwards. I can right-click to create a maneuver node, use the widgets to set up the maneuver, and then when I click anywhere on the screen, the maneuver node is deleted. Something that might be important: the little maneuver bar to the right of the NavBall shows the green bar, but no red X icon or text.

KSP version 1.1 OS X 10.11.4 iMac 27" Late 2012 3.4GHz Core i7 32GB DDR3-1600 RAM GeForce GTX 680MX 2GB If I have Anti-Aliasing enabled (2X, 4X, or 8X), the game freezes when I go to start a new game. To be clear, the game loads, I see the menu with no graphical issues, and when it starts to load the Space Center, the screen stays black and I get the pinwheel. If I disable AA, it works fine. Also, the edge highlighting option doesn't work: on or off in the menu, edge highlighting never appears.
  3. I'd like to put my two cents in for a return to the single-piece science modules. The rack+fairing+parts thing is not as clean and gives me the heeby-jeebies 'cause I have OCD. With the single-piece science parts, I just connect one node to another, just like LEGOs. The way it is now, the avionics, science, and battery parts don't attach cleanly to the payload rack, giving me a lot to do with the offset and rotate widgets to get them centred properly. Picture the rack as an X-Y coordinate plane with the origin in the exact centre: it is impossible to get any of the pieces to attach to it at (0,0), even using placement widgets. You have to use the circle-mode rather than the octagon mode (pressing C) if you want it to look centred, but because it's not in snap-mode, you can't be sure. The current method is: 1. Place payload rack 2. Place avionics control package 3. Use widgets to get avionics in place 4. Place battery 5. Use widgets to get battery in place 6. Place science package 7. Use widgets to get science package in place 8. Cover payload rack I prefer this method: 1. Place science part Can't I at least have an option when installing to use the old method? (I don't mean to bust balls, I love this mod, what it's about, and what it does. I just don't like this bit about it, and I wanted to see if it would be easy to get that option back.)
  4. It's definitely a problem with OS X and KSP. I have the same issues running out of memory even though I have 32GB installed and Activity Monitor never shows more than 2.1GB used. I switched to my Windows partition and can play at maxed out settings with mods for as long as I like. The problem existed in 0.25, too, so I don't know when they'll get around to fixing it.
  5. Can practically confirm KSP is unstable on Yosemite. I dual-boot Windows, and I can run the game with all graphical options at max in 2560x1440 with no issues whatsoever. So: same computer, different operating systems, different results.
  6. I'm also having a rough experience with .25 on Yosemite. I'm almost certain it's related to Yosemite. I used to play KSP on maxed out graphics and physics settings with only a few stutters and maybe a crash here or there, but now I can barely play it unless I drop all the nice graphics options, cut textures to half, and run in a window. I get the same error messages as other users have: Activity Monitor says it's running out of memory when it's at less than 1.8GB. I know there are precious few games that can use more than 4GB, but I have 32GB installed, so "out of memory" is really aggravating to see. I don't understand why it can't use all available memory. Anyway, here's my setup: OS X Yosemite, 10.10.1 3.4GHz Intel Core i7 32GB 1600MHz DDR3 RAM NVidia GeForce GTX 680MX 2GB 1TB Fusion Drive 27" iMac, late 2012
  7. I'm on a Mac with Yosemite and can only run up to about ten mods at a time. Depending on what I want to do, I remove and add mods every once-in-a-while, but any RAM usage above 2GB crashes every five minutes on Mac. This is the biggest problem I have with KSP (and games in general): I have 32GB available, but I've never found a game I like that can use more than 4. It was a huge waste of money.
  8. That did it! I thought AnimatedDecouplers was optional. Thanks for your help!
  9. Yeah, I read that suggestion, I just wanted to see if it had any effect - changed it back right away. I've tried going into action groups, but there's nothing listed that would decouple it. I right-clicked the module in flight and there wasn't any manual decoupling option. I still have the option to install/uninstall umbilical (which is super cool, btw) on the command pod, but no combination of settings seems to give me anything else.
  10. I'm one of the people having no luck separating the service module from the pod. I tried editing the SM .cfg to have staging=true, but I don't know what that does and it didn't work. Where can I find those logs of which you spoke and how should I get them to you? Bear in mind I have limited experience working with online forums. Or maybe Helix935 could swallow his pride and give us a hand. What could be so "embarassing"?
  11. I have the same sort of issues. I didn't follow all of your technical jargon or the abbreviations (except ATM = Active Texture Management mod), but I know I'm having crashing problems because of running out of memory. I have a late 2012 iMac with 32GB RAM, so it's not physical memory. I used to be able to play with a ton of mods in a previous version on an earlier OS, but on Yosemite with .25, I can only install two or three parts mods before it crashes every 5-10 minutes. I decreased texture resolution to ½ and got about double the time, but I can barely play long enough for a simple Mun landing and return mission. Can you also explain why this game (and apparently all others) can only use a certain amount of RAM, regardless of how much is installed?
  12. I have Yosemite on a 2012 iMac with GTX 680MX and a Core i7; performance is mixed. Playing stock with medium graphics is okay, but adding mods and/or using better textures crashes every 10 minutes or so. No loss of performance, FPS consistently over 40, but crashing all the time. I have 32GB of RAM, but KSP can only use a couple. Fun game, but really unstable on Mac right now. Some PC/Linux users have well over 20 mods, but I install five and it starts crashing consistently. I'd say go for it and just be patient with the dev team as they get all the bugs ironed out (and they do a pretty good job with that).
