  1. Here's something I've been messing with, a bottom mounted shuttle. Still trying to cut down cost, mostly by eliminating that vector, but I'm reluctant to just mount it directly to the plane itself because it looks ugly.
  2. Heh, I don't think it's the greatest idea to be landing on canisters full of radioactive material.
  3. Haha, glad to see someone else noticed it. I never check the wiki regarding parts or anything, so I didn't know you added that.
  4. I believe there's also reference to The Martian in the RTG's description. If I recall, it says something along the lines of, "Warning: Not to be used for heating rovers."
  5. Why did you not just use the screenshot button already integrated into KSP? It yields much better images, and is as easy, if not more so, to use than a physical camera.
  6. Mission control? We've got a shimmy.
  7. Nice profile picture.

Haha, at a glance I thought it was my profile picture and I got really confused because I hadn't posted in the recent forums you had.

  8. Blowfish and Rune, I greatly appreciate the tips. If only I would have taken to the forums for advice sooner, I probably would have designed a working ssto sooner. Thank you very much.
  9. I must preface this post with the fact that I have literally NEVER built an ssto in all my years of playing Kerbal Space Program. For this design I followed one rule: The Rule of Cool. By looking at several pictures of Skylon and a few or Rune's sstos, and with the help of a tiny amount of tweakscale, I have brought forth my very first orbit capable aircraft. I was able to get it to orbit with approximately 1k of DV left in its tanks with no cargo on board, and have yet to test it with a payload, but oh well. I'm sure many of you on here could shoot this thing skyward with a payload and retain the same amount of DV, but I'm still working on my ascent and descent paths so bare with me. Here's a few pictures of it: [imgur]oloHa[/imgur] During re-entry I learned that radiators are a virtue, as I burned off two thirds of the nose and lost control. Thankfully, I was able to regain control and coax it to the runway and land. Any suggestions as to ascent paths or design changes would be much appreciated.
  10. I love those landing legs you've made. They sure as hell beat those little skinny retractable ones most people use.
  11. That would be a p-26 Peashooter, the first aircraft you receive when playing the U.S. airforce in War Thunder.
  12. Actually, yes. I was going to mention that you'd neglected to get the shape of the engine cowling right, but it seems in later versions (Im talking about your first a-2 compared to the second version here) that seems to be corrected, which is nice.
  13. I maaaaaybe copied your design just a lil' bit.
  14. Achtung! I do suggest making the rudders and wings a bit less rhomboid in shape, especially the rudders. In picture you'll see they're more rectangular than in your version here. Aside from that, it's pretty good.
