  1. Great...thanks! I didn't even know rockets could be set up that way.
  2. Morning, folks! I'm finally able to get to a stable orbit, etc., but when I was trying to do science, my little Bill Kerbal let go of my capsule and is now in orbit about 90 metres from the capsule. I am NOT playing sandbox mode. What I am needing help with is to know what I can do to rescue him, since my command capsules only hold 1 person...and I can't find a way to launch a rocket with more than one command capsule. Obviously, I have not unlocked much technology yet. Any ideas as a low-tech option? Second question: This is not the first time one of my guys has let go of the command capsule without my prompting. Is this a bug, something I am doing mistakenly or do they sometimes just let go on their own? I wasn't sure if 'stupidness' was a factor on their part or mine. Thanks in advance! Daeromont
  3. That helps a lot...and thanks again. And interestingly, I was able to do much more complicated things before having this problem..I've enjoyed some of the staging issues. I would only recommend that before going live, the clarification occurs in the text of the game. While it might be apparent to those who have played for awhile, I had absolutely no clue why my missions weren't working. I'm a relatively intelligent guy. This post is not a complaint...just a suggestion. makes perfect sense now...thanks.
  4. That is exactly what I am asking...and thanks. For clarification: If I am testing an engine at 10,000 meters, but obviously have to launch to get that far, I have to then 'start' (or activate, if I read your post correctly) the engine I am testing while at 10,000 meters? I think I get it now....but had no idea. Since the game was registering that I had tested it properly mid-flight, I got confused. And kept running out of money. I'm playing Career mode.
  5. Folks; I am so sorry for bringing this up again...assuming its been asked a million times....but I am having problems with the search feature on the forum. My question is why I can't seem to finish many early missions. I'm new to the game, obviously. But, even though I can see that I accomplished the 'requirements' to many missions while en-route, I find that they are 'incomplete' by the time I land. For example, I tested an engine 10,000 meters. It showed green...and in fact, I had gone well beyond that. But, by the time I landed, obviously, I was no longer at 10,000 meters...and it showed 'incomplete.' I'm sure this is an easy answer...but I was unable to figure it out or find anything in my search. Thanks, Daeromont
