  1. Following through with their plans to make Kerbals a multi-planet species, KASA has launched the first part of the KCS Kolony Ship. Unlike previous large scale craft, this vessel is not just a space station, but the first of many ships with which to colonize Laythe. This first part of the ship is the habitat module. It holds 12 family homes which will descend to the surface of Laythe. After deployment, the habitat module will be repurposed to a service hangar in orbit of Laythe. While the Habitat does have maneuvering thrusters capable of adjusting it's orbit, it will need to be docked with a drive module to move it and it's precious cargo of 60 Kerbals to Laythe orbit for permanent occupation.
  2. Trust me, you want all the lights you can get on a motorcycle at night.... a poorly marked road could put you in the hospital unless you can see like it's daytime.... I know from experience... I broke 2 vertebrae, 4 ribs, and a metacarpal the day after Thanksgiving. I just got the cast and brace off a week ago. Jeb knows what he's doing with the dual lights.
  3. Jeb saw a Karley Davikson in the parking lot, and decided he wanted one too. Having blown all his money on potato chips, he decided to build one from parts at the KSC junkyard.
  4. Built a carrier, with 6 exploration cruisers in the docking bays, then sent one to land on Minmus as a test run.
  5. Actually, there is no clipping. Most of the panels are in the shade most of the time, but they are spaced far enough away to not clip
  6. Built and launched a new Stanford torus, completely stock this time. Crew capacity 512 Kerbals (NOT including the science modules and command pod). The launch vehicle has 162 engines, 81 per launch stage. Carries 2,000,000 tons of fuel, and burns over 20,000 tons per second. It took 12 launches due to the Kraken attacking... But I finally strutted it up enough to defend against the dreaded Kraken. Yeah... I might have gone overboard on the solar panels....
  7. Normally I tend to make really BIG things in KSP, but every once in a while I get the urge to make something small. And this is one of those times. One of my mods, I'm not sure which, includes an RCS which is fueled only by Air Intake, and Electric Charge. So I decided to make a nearly stock plane using those new RCS as the engines. And this very tiny microplane with an RTS as the primary structural linkage is the result. After installing a radio control module Jeb gave it to Val as an anniversary present in remembrance of her first flight. Kerbal added for scale...
  8. Tested this monsterous rover. This roomy rover, comfortably holds 3 crew and 8 passengers, sports 6 Drill'o'Matics, 2 ISRUs, and 2 new OxyMonoISRU test units (converts excess oxidizer into monopropellant. because I never calculate how much oxidizer I need, and often have a lot left over with no way to dump it). It is capable of up to 45m/s on electric drive only, but has a pair of jet engines to get up those "steep" 20 degree hills surrounding the KSC. It's 8 large deployable solar panels and enormous battery capacity enables this over-sized rover, to keep mining and refining all night long with plenty of juice to spare. Currently all sales are pickup only, a suitable delivery system has yet to be worked out.
  9. Decided to take another shot at a flying disk. Doesn't pitch very well, and fuel economy is horrible. but it flies pretty stable. Maybe I can tweak it into working better.... Edit: Turns out to not need fuel or chutes to land. just select control from here on one of the docking ports on bottom, and set radial in then walk away for a little while XD
  10. KASA launched the Rok colony ship today, carrying 312 passengers + 10 crew members on a one way trip to Laythe. After achieving Kerbin orbit, the Rok was refuel and is awaiting a compliment of 6 shuttles which will carry the passengers to the surface of Laythe. After the colonization mission, the crew will stay aboard the Rok in Laythe orbit, and the ship will be converted into a space station for interplanetary commerce.
  11. Genegan and Seanberry Kerman are now stuck in orbit with no fuel after testing the experimental "Bat out'a Hell" space plane. They seem to be enjoying themselves despite the predicament, which is a good thing considering their contract doesn't mention a return trip. This is actually the 2nd time making this particular craft.... KSP crashed after testing it the first time, but before I saved the ship.... The original was much faster, more stable, and fuel efficient even though it uses the exact same parts.... cant figure out whats different....
  12. Tentacle Monster attacks the KSP!!! News at 11.
  13. Decided to make a biplane. I Don't have any propeller mods so I improvised, heh. Got a perfect 4 point landing. One day maybe I'll successfully aim for the runway
  14. After a while away from KSP I came back to find KSP crashing on startup due to one or more of my mods being incompatible with the latest update. So I started over losing my nearly completed massive coreless stanford torus station... Oh well.... I built a "Long Range" Science vessel with lander, that turned out to not be so long range.... I parked the ship on Minmus for later retrieval... Then, I built a mobile fuel factory/refueling station for Minmus. It's mostly stock parts. The mod parts are an OPT capsule, and MAERDA docking port/dual mode engines. It's capable of VTOL into minmus orbit on the RCS alone to refuel those ships that can't safely land on minmus for refueling. I forgot to add some mono tanks, so it'll just have to manufacture the mono as needed. Still working on picking out my new mods. Wish I could get the panopticon pod for the latest KSP...
  15. With the large scale self assembling coreless stanford torus ending in dismal and physics defying failure. KASA begins construction of of the new station Starcore One using the frozen plains of Minmus as an assembly yard. [Imgur Album]
  16. Attempted to launch my new full sized coreless stanford torus. It wobbled apart on the launchpad in just 3 seconds, and apparently broke the speed of light a great many times over.... Flight Achievements: Total Mission Time: 0Years,0Days,0Hours,0Mins,3Secs, Highest Altitude Achieved: 13,337,003,749m Highest Speed Achieved: 5,535,082,646m/s Highest Speed Over Land: 5,458,351,520m/s Ground Distance Covered: 218,338,004m Most Gee Force Endured: 50355.6G Highest Temperature Reached: 6063179K Thats roughly... 18.5 times the speed of light... WITHOUT any warp speed mods. If only I could exploit that for a novelty thruster...
  17. KASA is wanting to make a Core-less Stanford Torus, Which didn't go so well last time (wibbly wobbly explodey wodey was the technical cause of the failure). So they tested a new construction technique that involves pistons and separators to get everything aligned then decouple and allowed it to self assemble. They successfully tested a small scale station, that can hold upto 48 Kerbals across 12 PXL-9 command pods, and dock 12 ships (even if they forgot to install a docking port... ). The small scale test station is now being repurposed as a "Best Kerbin Space Hotel and Space Casino" Kadvertisement : When you just cant get far enough away from things think Best Kerbin .
  18. I built and tested a 6-kerbal emergency escape vehicle. Capable of safely deorbiting 6 kerbals back to Kerbin. Unfortunately I forgot lights and we passed the terminus into night.... The chute opened just fine, and reduced the vehicles speed below the splatter point. Ran out of fuel trying to putter to land... Hope the recovery crew bring a boat... All 6 test crew got promoted due to their daring dive from space OUTSIDE a module. The crew is happy and healthy. But they were a little concerned when I told then I need to make the escape ship much smaller...
  19. After many many months of no KSP I started a new game and added a few mods. I never have enough fuel once I reach space so I launched a fuel depot into orbit. 37 Orange tanks in one launch, lifted by 259 SRBs. If I had actually remembered to gravity turn my 7.7 million ton candle on the way up, I might not have wasted 2/3rd of my fuel getting an eccentric orbit....Still that's over 46k of fuel that that can refuel more maneuverable craft.... next I'll send up some docking ports on grabbers, cause I forget the docking ports.... Oh and solar panels.... and probably other things I forgot while I was insane with the plan to get as much fuel storage up as possible in one launch...
  20. Today, I decided I need a fuel barge, seeing as how my mining platforms are all either in a polar orbit, or on the poles. I had intended to decouple the nacelles for the final orbital burn, but it turned out unnecessary (and gives me 6 extra engines and more fuel capacity). About the only thing on it that is stock is the RCS nodes. (BZ-52 radial attachment point, FL-A5 adapter, and 12 vernor RCS thrusters arranged radially. The ship carries upto 27.4K liquid fuel, 33.4K of Oxidizer, and 200 monopropellent to refuel ships and stations with. It does have landing skids on the underside, but as I forgot to add the VTOL engines, it'll never land on Mun for refueling like was intended..... No damage on launch... sort of.... seems it shook enough during launch to break all the struts between the large nacelles and the fuselage.... luckily they are robostruts, so a few clicks restrutted them.
  21. It's not dead. Its hosted on mediafire. All mediafire links on the site have been mangled, because of porn ads. You can fix the link yourself simply by re-adding the mediafire domain back into the download URL. Or you can wait for the mod creator to paste new links on a different site.
  22. I spotted an E Class on a collision course for Kerbin, and redirected it into a nice circular orbit.around 200KM. I used up every bit of fuel doing so, but it's rapidly refilling the 7 orange tanks. It's going to be my refuel station for a while. especially after I add more docking ports, the Rock Catcher only has a Sr. on it.
  23. Jeb saw a quad copter at Kerb-Mart and being a little short of change decided to build his own out of used aircraft, rocket, and camcorder parts. In Other News: Interest in space exploration is on the rise as many Kerbals report seeing UFOs hovering over nude beaches.
